Where does one post new moves? Are there naming conventions?

Where in the forum do we post new tricks at? Also what is the naming convention for new tricks? Does the person who suggests it get to name it?

To share your new tricks, either create your own blog, or post here:

If you want to know whether your trick is an invention, ask here:

If you are certain that your trick is an invention, post here:

As for naming, there are no written rules, although in 95% of cases, the person who hits a trick first gets to name it. This has been broken many times - Terrawhirl comes to mind, a trick first done by Ryan M, who never named any tricks, so the trick kinda has a name, but some people disregard it and just call it Terraging SS Clipper. Sometimes a trick will have more names, but that usually resolves and the one in right wins (Leviathan vs Christina Aguillera)

What to do:

- Name new sets/uptime components: Link to a current set list below, take it with a pinch of salt, some of those sets have not been hit, some are missing
http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.php?t=6268

- Name new downtime components: Good luck with that :)

- Name Set->Butterfly tricks: Ripwalk, Janiwalk, Tripwalk, Dimwalk

- Name Set->Mirage tricks as the short version of the set: Blurry -> Blur, Fusing -> Fuse, Warped -> Warp

- Name Set->Eggbeater tricks as SomethingBeater: Pigbeater, Boulderbeater

- Give a meaningful name to a fundamental/common trick: Montage, HPD, Blurriest

- Give an uncommon tricks a cool name if there is one: 84

Although as you may have noticed, these are not really the rules, there are no rules. You'll see badly named set (Pixie/Fairy), deviations (Matador/Legbeater), absolutely awful names that you can't even say out loud (Bedwetter/Redwetter/DDC) and unnecessarily named tricks (Royale)
I hate bad form and I'm a hypocrite.
