What trick would prevail?

Post by randomcrayon » 16 Mar 2004 18:46

David Clavens and I were talking about some super cool tricks that we would pull out in Sick One. David thinks that his Blurry Drifter would defeat my Ripstein, while I think the opposite. So what'll it be: Blurry Drifter or Ripstein?

i`ve hit blurry drifter and ripstein and I think blurry drifter is way awesomer. it uses many more components, there`s a lot more movement going on, it`s the same amount of dexes... and... etc.

Nick disagrees with me, though. nick likes ripstein better, as sheer awesomeness goes.

I like ripstein better, probably because I can't do it yet.

A ripstein is a double swirl.

I voted for ripstein, because IMO it looks cooler and it's harder to hit.

I think it all depends on the judging. I think Ripstien is much harder and if sick trick was judged purely on diffilculty it should win hands down. However I personally think blurry drifter looks more "sick" and so if it were judged on what looks sick - blurry drifter should win. However it would be much harder to decide if you were just basing it on "sickness" so I think ripstien should win for being much harder and looking almost as sick.

I think that Blurry Drifter looks better, harder, and more sicknes. I know that Ripstein is harder but to perform Blurry Drifter you must use more power and balance youre body.
I think that Sick One isn't a competition of dificulty. The Sick Of Trick (how nic sounds that ;]), in my opinion, is more important thing.

Greats.

You can make a blury drifter not look so good. it's hard to make a ripstein not look cool. Ripstein also has a much bigger WOW factor because people who know little or nothing about footbag can still understand a ripstein.

And it is a LOT harder than blurry drifter.

Ripstein wins hands down in my book.

Blurry Drifter looks cooler but Ripstein is much harder so my vote goes to Ripstein.

What?! How is it tied 9-9?

There is no question, RIPSTEIN IS TEH SICK.

Everyone vote for Ripstein.

Ripstein is pretty sick, but I'd say it looks much sicker midstring that
as a sick one.
Tough vote. I'll go for Blurry drifter this time. (should this poll
ever be made again, I'd vote for Ripstein)

edit: I wrote this before submitting my vote..just made it even again,
10-10 8O )

Given that both moves are hit clean, ripstein wins easily in my book. I can name a ton of players who can hit blurry drifter BSOS, but ripstein?

I also stress the importance of both being clean. I have seen more than a few thin/the ripsteins in my day.

i think ripstein would win, but i get all mushy inside when it comes to any move that involves a swirl or two.
