3dex Combos

Post by Anz » 13 Dec 2004 11:41

Yo people! Today I hit my first 3dex > 3dex combo(s). That's an awesome feeling I tell ya! :D

I think here has been this kind of topic before, but I was thinking of making a new one just for 3dex combos. I know that many of you are hitting them and you can hit them more!!
I hope this topic encourages people to hit more 3dex linkings and post them here and makes players not just to look at adds (I'm not saying that you all do so) but dexes too.

Let's hear what 3dex combos you have - and if you don't then hit one :!:

Today I hit:
Janiwalker > Blurriest (one side only :()
Dimmiest > Blurriest BS (other side first try ever :))
8)

Wow! Those are awesome, guys!!
Sailing same mirage > sailing mirage [repeat] is NICE, Jeremy!! Seriously....that's cool! So is janiwalker > janiwalker. Andrew has AWESOME form so all his combos look rad.

I've hit:
smog > pigbeater/pigbeater > smog
pigbeater > pigbeater/smog > smog
bedwetter > smog/fog > smog
fog > pixie paradon
blurriest > blurriest
blurriest > fog (probably, but I can't picture hitting it...)
tapping dlo > smog
smog > pixie same dlo > smog/pixie same dlo > smog > pixie same dlo
etc.

I haven't hit too many in a row, but I was saying to Andrew that I think some time soon triples will replace 5s. Triples are sooo much cooler, I think.

Um...hmm. I wish I could try some right now. I'll try some in 8 days.

Otherwise:

Smog > Pigbeater > rpt > rpt > Smog
Sailing Legover > Smog
Sailing ss Legover > Sailing ss Legover
Frantic Mirage > Pigbeater
Pixie Double Switch > Enterrage
Pixie Double Switch > Pixie ss Double Switch

I don't know, I'm sure there's more but I can't remember. Oh, Pigbeater > Pandemonium, just before I started taking time off. That was cool. :)

Yeah, I think its much harder in that direction.

I like triple dex combos. I thought it was weird how the mods stickied the `fearless combos` thread, and not the triples one, even though they were made roughly the same time, and triples are about the same level as fives in my opinion.

My fav combos in this thread so far are jani-bed and jani x2. Props guys.

I think the fearless topic was made sticky because somebody asked. Personally it doesn't worry me which topics are sticky - although I tend to think there are too many - but if somebody wants this or any other topic sticky I would do it for them (with in reason - I won't for example make your personal blog topic sticky).

The flurry>pixie paradon combo reminded me of a cool one I hit the other day:

haze>sailing ss butterfly and then later sailing ss butterfly>haze. I tried for ages on my flipside but I just wasn't tight enough - I think I footed it a few times. A combo I'd really like to hit is haze>sailing ss butterfly>flurry>pixe paradon - I don't think I've ever hit flurry>pixie paradon although only through lack of trying - I almost always pixie set out of my flurries these days - but I find it hard to flurry out of things. Maybe this combo would be possible:
flurry>sailing ss butterfly>haze>pixie paradon. - It's one sided but I think that's ok so long as you are capable of hitting the moves on the other side. I'll have a go tomorrow since I won't be working :P

hmm. there are some other cool combos I have hit recently - fog>sailing ss blender, nuclear dlo>predator, fog>sailing butterfly>blurrier fog>dominatrix>pixie motion. I'll try and hit some longer triple dex combos tomorrow - my record is only 4 but I'm pretty sure I could hit five or six.

GOOD LORD!! That's the kind of combo I dream about. I never post any more, but I just couldn't pass that up. You're the man Kevin, the Canadian Chris Pinkus, seriously :D . Keep those insane toe combos coming.

tapping dlo, smog, blurriest and phasing ss mirage are all pretty easy as well - it really depends what your strengths are. Some people probably find pigbeater the easiest as well.
