Worlds 2004 Video!
Alright, so, I guess I have some explaining to do.
I was at Worlds, and I filmed, and got some pretty good footage. I set out right away to make a video, and I got it pretty much finished, when I realized that I should get permission from all the players before posting it. So I did, and that took a while, but eventually I got the a-okay from all the players in this video.
Then, it took me a while longer to put on all the finishing touches, and finally, I was about ready to export it, when all of a sudden, my video editing program crashes. Something about a bug .... So, I restart it, and I can't open up the project file without it crashing anymore.
A little dismayed, I tried a number of things to get the video project to work so I could export my video. Finally I gave up, and have just kind of left it for months, in hopes that I could come up with an idea to ressurect it. Every once in a while I would try again, with no success. I really tried a LOT of different things to get this video to work.
Now, I've finally just decided that I want to post the video I DO have, which is unfortunately a lower quality video that I had exported before the crash, just to see how small a file I could get at lower qualities.
There is a lot of good shred in here, and the quality doesn't make it totally unwatchable, but it would be nice if it were better. If you watch it at 50% of its size, its not that bad.
Anyway, it's a pretty thorough video .. 17 minutes long, and it's not a very large file at all, so hopefully everyone can download it.
Please feel free to give feedback. I'm sorry I don't have the option at this time of uploading a high quality version of this video, but like I said, these previously mentioned problems kind of ruin that chance. If I figure out a way to get the program to stop crashing on me I will try to upload a higher quality version.
Enjoy!

Man, that brought back some memories and mindsets.
I'm in the background in the entire Vasek section...in the yellow t-shirt and shades. I just remember smiling and laughing the whole time while watching that circle. I remember every one of those strings.
Thanks Cole, I'm glad it finally got out.

That was sweet, thanks Cole.
I especially dug the synchronicity of music and shred during the Cirrus
remix. And nice Slowmos at the end!

Thanks for the video Cole. I always appreciate new videos.
But yeah, for me the issue isnt `too much Vasek,` so much as that I had already seen almost all of the footage.
I remember when that Pete-Honza-Caleb-Vasek circle formed at Place Des Arts. A whole bunch of people rushed to go watch, and I remember thinking:
1. There are AT LEAST 5 cameras on that circle, so I am guaranteed to see whatever happens there later.
2. I won`t have the opportunity to PLAY footbag with other awesome guiltless players in the winter, but I can watch footage in the winter.
So I stuck in the circle I was in, had fun playing, and I`ve since seen footage of that circle on at least 4 different videos. I think I made a good decision.
Frankly, the thing I liked most on this new video was Laroche`s string, because I hadn`t seen it before. At tournaments I understand why people film Vasek: he`s the best, and he will hit something good for you in 5 minutes or less, guaranteed. I can`t tell you how many times at worlds people would drop by a circle I was in, or near, and film it for like 4 minutes or less before moving on. Too many filmers are impatient... if they don`t get a good run within 2 minutes of shooting, they`re gone. Then they miss a good string. Vasek is a filmer`s dream: good shred, every turn. But to an extent he has made filmers lazy, and now few filmers have the requisite attention span to film enough to make tapes with good player variety. My 2 cents.

Good points, and I don't know if you were lumping my video into this as well, but I would say this video has good player variety. I can't remember an exact number at the moment, but I think the video has 15 different players in it.C-Fan wrote:Thanks for the video Cole. I always appreciate new videos.

Yes, there is more Vasek, because he hit more good stuff, and also because his section is slow mo-ed, so it seems like more than it is.
While there is only 1 or 2 strings of the others, I think it gives a good variety of some of the players who were throwing down at Worlds.
And yeah, that Laroche string is really sweet.

Video editing problem
Hi,
I'm writing you more about the technical problem. You said that you tried a number of things to make the program work again. Did you try uninstalling it and getting an upgraded version of yr editing prog on?
