You're pretty good, but can you kick it at all? I mean all you did was stall lol it got kind of boring. You're not bad but there's this kid I know who's better. He can kick it like 50 times without dropping, and he can do a super rainbow stall@!

Sweet shred! You've got a ton of variety in your game which is great. There were some impressive moves and combos in there. That first one, dimwalk>pdx whirl was awesome. The only thing I would try to work on is not throwing your pixie leg outward as much so you can get a deeper set, you really want pixies to be calf deep just to be safe. Don't worry, pretty much everyone does this with pixie until they work on it.

The other thing is most of your illusions were thin or just not there. Again, a common thing that occurs with newer players, just work on setting the bag, bringing the calf around the bag (instead of the shoe and having your foot start pointing downward mid-dex)

The barrages and paradons were the other glare that I noticed. With barrage and with paradon you're attacking the bag late, and falling backward to dex. Double dex moves of this type should be attacked early, with your body over the bag and really getting that first dex upper calf-deep, then the second lower calf deep.

Everything else I thought looked great, the stepping didn't look slurry at all, nice and solid. The ducks looked decent. Most of your tiltless stuff looked dialed, so you may want to gradually move up to guiltless as your work on some of the things mentioned.

Great job your first year (I'm assuming), looking forward to seeing another female guiltless shredder!

Thanks for the advice!

I'm just starting to get comfortable with my pixies, I'll definitely keep that in mind when practicing those.

As for illusions, I've been working hard on them to make them clean. I think video quality may be a factor, because I think they are generally (at least relatively) clean.

I know my barrages and paradons definitely need work, I only started working on them about a week ago. I will try attacking the dexes earlier from now on.

Just wanted to say props. You are very good at freestyle! nice tricks and combos in there.

It is nice to see up and coming female footbaggers. Keep skooling because you will achieve a very high level if you truly enjoy it.

Who do you play with? Who are you learning from?

Its very possible shes not learning from or playing with anyone. Footbag isn't that popular.

Great movie cassy, I enjoyed it. I'd say, get a bit more stepping in there. Try to get a larger shredding environment. Everything else somebody has already said.

Omg i dont know why but i loved it alot! You are awesome, i had this feeling that you are are true sport, wearing yourself out to the end every session.

I like how your pixies look and that you are both sided!

Props!

Id say try to master osis, it will help you lots.

osis>ss clip>rpt for like 20 contacts, or osisx3>ss clip>rpt if thats too easy.

I never enjoyed girl shred so much.

Nice shred!

You have nice variety (pixies, steppings, all basic 2s) and pretty bothsided.

Practise Osis, it will help you to start playing guiltless one day.

Props.

PS. I dont understand your post, Langstaff. Freestyle is about stalls!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Langstaff is my boyfriend, he got me into freestyle and I mostly play with him. He was just being silly :P

I am not really learning from anyone now, just videos and whatnot.

I know I need to try and get more stepping into my shred, I just need to get more comfortable with it. I've been mostly schooling pixies lately so I guess it has kinda been on the backburner.

I agree that osis is important, I have been working on it lately. I have gotten 22 consecutive, I will definitely continue to drill them!

Props :). Nice video.
Do you really shred alone? :(
I liked the symp mirage>dimwalk>pdx mirage drill
and... yeah i also want to comment on your osises... :P
You should work more on the technique rather than doing many consecutives
Doing osis should go more or less like this - clip set> stomp the set foot>
bend your suppor leg knee and bring your knees together while spining for the catch (like a shy little girl :P). I saw you doing osis like this in the end of the video, it might be due to low brightness of the vid..but anyway.
How long have you been playing.
oh..cool music :)

wow wow wow! Go Cassy!!

I threw my hands in the air at paradon! haha

So many great highlights! I really liked the pixies out of symp mirages and stuff like DATW both sides. So much bothsidedness, sick!

I know exactly what you need to take your osis from usable to it being your bitch. Nice work on torque too!

Not to knock on anyone in your area but I really feel like I could give you some tips that would help you a bunch, maybe we should both go to a FAT shred and I can coach you a bit. (It seems I am more of a coach than a an actual shredder these days until I heal fully)

I love that you're so dedicated and going for it, it's obviously paying off and this only leads to further progress so keep at it!

So, wanna shred some time?

I shred alone a lot, but not always. I play with Andrew and try to make it out to FAT sessions as often as I can.

I have been playing since fall 06, going on a year and a half.

Tom: It would be awesome to get some tips on my game from a more advanced footbagger, I definitely wanna shred sometime :)

Very good video! Awesome bothsidedness.

My only critique would be your arms. On clipper moves they usually go above your shoulders. Generally a good rule is to try and keep your arms below your shoulders.

In general, a really great video though.

Awesome shredding! It's good to see more women playing. You definitely need a bigger playing area if that is your main place. It looks like it restricts a lot of movement from you. Other than that, keep it up!

Nice vid.
I just want to warn not to start relying on the Osis too much. If you push it to guiltless and learn to bail to Osis always, you won't progress with bigger links.

Hey Cassy,

I think you're really on the right track with those illusions. As you gain strength, those will become faster, and smaller, and I think that will add to your cleanliness.

I see that when you catch a ducking clipper, you don't hop into the catch. What I see is your support leg fully planted and a big precise clipper stall on the delay foot. if I were you, before I worked on ducking clipper, I would practice a LOT of infinity without plants, and then lots of alternating clipper, hopping into each catch.

as osis goes, I would consider practicing op foot osis > same foot osis repeat. You want all your sets very small, you want to have good consistent rhythm from one move to the next. I think you could get some good tips if you made a very short video of just this drill, maybe your best 2 or 3 attempts.

Also, try keeping those arms below the shoulders. Can you drill repeating ripwalks yet? how about ripwalk > ss butterfly repeat? I think if you drilled that with your arms down, you would develop stronger clipper to clipper rhythm and gain more general bag control.

Definitely get that mosher training session ASAP. Having someone help you in person is a lot better than trying to read, comprehend, and realize.

man, I'm less than halfway through the video! I'm going to watch the rest, then write more...

okay, how about this... When you move to duck, move most from the neck, and not as much from the waist. Your whole upper body moves and the set is a bit too high. Tighten it up around the neck.

I think your barrages are really on the right track. Nice cone on the dexes. As it stands, they're downtime, and that's great for when you want to do them paradox and from sets and things like that. You'll have an easier time cleaning them if you set just a little lower and start the dex a little sooner, more like midtime than downtime. Those two barrages in the same run looked pretty good to me, though. That's great that you're pushing into the same leg doubledex category of tricks.

That's great that you can muscle out pixie ducking, it will be cool to see what you can do with that.

You have such big windows, have you tried fairy or atomic set at all? I think you will probably have a really easy time with one or the other, maybe both?

okay, just finished watching (I guess I lied about not writing more).

That was a fun video, it's cool watching you hit bigger tricks and seeing your style develop and get stronger. I wish there were some blurry whirls in this video! I hope you'll post an update video in the near future if you decide to work on all these tips you're getting (or even if you don't).

Thanks for the vid!
BRICK!
