I had a feeling Vasek could do this ever since his body changed from thin to muscular. I remember people commenting that his musculature was going to limit his playing. Well, I for one don't see any limitations in his playing at this year's Worlds.

Thank you for putting this epic run in its own thread. It is certainly going to be the topic of a lot of discussion.

If you remember however, in Sick03 he says he can do a 'routine' for about 20 minutes, so presumably in training and local sessions, he has gone this long and longer. I guess we havent seen anything like it in competition, then nearest i can remember is Penske having a 90 contact Rippin Run a few years ago (or something similar).

Kind of reminds me of Worlds 07 circles :), there is a reason why he's been so hard to beat.

Props Vasek to a very nice and long string.

But this isn't honestly the best we've seen from Vasek, its def a long string, routine like almost.

But his trick selection is very limited compared to how he use to play, to me it seems like he was playing under his skill level by far.. either that or this is just how he likes to play now.

Lots of repeated tricks, nothing out of the ordinary, more one sided, but everything is definitely super clean and slowed down.

Looks like childs play for him

But with the pressure of his reputation on him, and live in front of a camera BOOM 3 minutes? When noone in circles has done anything half that length?

Craziness! What a player. All glory to Vasek.

i think will is completely right about it

he did one hell of a long run ill give him that but it was filled with alot of north american bails (i guess europe is doing that alot more now?) Finnish bails and alot of butterflys and repeats

it looks like vasek is back to his 2002 style imo

Yeah, he played in a very low level. But in density round he rocks with a clearly non stop of huge tricks.

In this run he wanted to play looooong, not hiiiiigh. But still, it's missed some superfly or more combos, that's true.

Allways props to vasek to show something new, something to make clap your hands every year.
