A tiny taste of Hackrifice 10 (2008)

Post by qphox » 23 Nov 2010 18:45

This event happened guys, did you know?

This isn't quite the exciting adventure that previous Hackrifice videos have been, but I needed to familiarize myself with Final Cut Pro.

Enjoy.

Music:

Cube (feat. Andrew T. Grant) - Night Trip

edit:

Sorry, I also meant to use this post to concede utter defeat in my dance-off vs. Rory.

And the tiniest taste it wasn't.

I'm glad you and Final Cut got to know one another once again. Nice audio, too.

I suppose this is why Canada does not have a "talent" show, like every other country, they simply knew that you and Rory would blow everyone out of the water.

How Sudermanly.

Hey, I always assumed your avatar was from Bubble Bobble, but is it actually Quincy from Foxtrot? Also, the Andrew T Grant sample was so good that I didn't even notice it was him until I saw the credit after watching the video a few times!

What a treat. Regamey makes the best videos... I really dug it. I always love the audio samples put into catchy songs. "He just wants your lunch," or "slow down, OK?"

Loved it, just loved it.

By far the best footbag video piece I've seen for a long time. Capturing the event is more entertaining than the shred to me and you did a really good job Reggie. Plus, you produce your own music. Props. Thanks for sharing and I always look forward to videos produced by you.

By the way, was that Derek Vandall looking like an overgrown young Evan Gatesman?

Fuck. How good is Vandall???

Great work, Kevin! Thanks for immortalizing yet another one of our comps in video form. Good on ya, legend!

Awesome video Kevin. I think you are one of the few editors that actually makes footbag look cool.

FYI Just before the dance sequence I creamed my shin against a speaker case by accident. You can't really see in the video, but it was dripping blood a bit out of the bandaid. I just wanted to point out that my FAT shirt sort of matched my leg. :P

Similar to Erik, I didn't notice the Andrew sample until like the third viewing. Also I can't remember saying bananas at all and I kind of suspect that Kevin somehow made me say that with his audio wizardry... but maybe I'm just crazy. That whole weekend was a blur of fun and shredanigans.

edit:

Kevin clearly wins the best dressed award.

He really pulled a Rob Creel 2007 Worlds. I think that was my reaction at the time (This being the time: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... .507751496).

Nice! So glad I checked modified! Haven't checked the vids in a long time. Good to see a new Regamey vid. In true Kevin fashion, it's completed 2 and a half years later :D
