Calendar Special: Link Of The Day [24/24]
Calendar Special: Link Of The Day [24/24]
This year's Christmas Calendar has "Link Of The Day" as a special feature.
Videos are made by yours truly and Jay Boychuk.
Starting December 1st there's a new video of a footbag link for everyday until the 24th. Allan Haggett will embed this part of the calendar on the Modified main index page, and you can find the newest link to the video there. The whole list will be found in this thread, updated with all the video links as they come out.
The idea of this Link Of The Day is to inspire you to try them. You can take it as something like Request Contest (although there's no prizes), and hit them on your own. It starts off relatively easy (but still Guiltless), and gets harder as it goes on.
It would be cool to see you guys hit these links - you can post videos of them in this thread. Let's see who can hit the most of these links. Honestly I don't think anyone can hit all 24 of them, but you can prove me wrong.
If you can't be bothered with filming, that's cool too. Then you can just post here claiming you hit it. Naturally in the spirit of the season no-one would lie about it...
Hopefully this series inspires you to try some new links.

Re: Calendar Special: Link Of The Day
Sweet idea! Looking forward to this.
Re: Calendar Special: Link Of The Day
Agreed - this is a fun and simple idea. I'm sure I'll be able to hit maybe 1 of the 24 links, but I'll be curious to see videos of other folks doing awesome things. And, really, anything Anz and Jay put together tends to be pretty awesome. So, this just adds one more thing for me to look forward to in December. Thanks!

Super cool.
Thanks guys.
Just makes December that much better.
Jay, I hope you're not too discouraged to do Joulukalenteri in future years. The consistent 150% you put into everything you do makes people happy.

OH BABY DR. BEAR. Pulling through and loving life. Guh. If you do enough of these, I think I might just have to fly to SFO and prop you myself. Oh goodness that made me a happy Boychuk

First props go to Bear and Dave for being the first ones to post a video.
I'm editing the first post to include all the videos from previous days.

Re: Calendar Special: Link Of The Day
I'm 2 for 2, but I'm going to wait for the first week to end before posting all combos I hit in one vid. Greatly enjoying this, thanks again Jay and Anz.
Re: Calendar Special: Link Of The Day [3/24]
I was excited to see today's combo. But to me the trick that Jay hit is diving late toe, not diving gyro toe. Without seeing the video I would have done an actual gyro.

Re: Calendar Special: Link Of The Day [3/24]
nice both sidedness !!
and erik, calling it gyro toe or late toe seems kinda strange to me.
I prefer toesis as the most accurate description
me and dave will try some more tonight!

Isn't osis the same thing as late clipper? Maybe I don't get what late is. Anyway it doesn't matter. I was just thrown by it. Toesis FTWbrianbear wrote:I prefer toesis as the most accurate description
