Joulukalenteri 2013 - Day 11: Pipenberg

Nathan Pipenberg

So, you guys might remember a boy with hopes, dreams, desires, and a mom who makes really, really good spaghetti. This boy is Man Nathan Pipenberg. You may remember him from his luscious locks, stellar sets and endless strings. He decided to give us all a video for this day, and here is what he has to say:

Right after Worlds this year, I dropped off the face of the shred world by going to work in the mountains in New Hampshire for a few months. While I was there, I managed to develop a stress fracture in my right foot, so even after I returned to civilization I couldn't kick. This footage is from the first few sessions I've had back in the game and I've lost a lot of what I had. Shorter runs, less variety -- all the normal setbacks that accompany time spent in non-Lavers. Anyway, because of all this, I decided to focus this video on the stuff that I haven't lost, and after a few sessions one component in particular stood out.

Yes, you did just read that in a Morgan Freeman voice. Eerie, I know. Regardless of how soothed you feel, I do hope you enjoy the following video.

Hey Nate! That was great! Your Tombstone record is 8! This video is a tasty piece of bait! Sorry to hear about your injury affecting your gait, mate :/ That's a cruel twist of fate, without any debate. At least you didn't fall through a subway grate! But to hear you stopped playing footbag, I would hate. I hope you take some time off and come back strong because you're really really really good at footbag and I love your style. I hope you heal up in just a little while ;)

Cool. I can relate to losing so much of your game. It happens to me almost annually. It's great that you could still bust some big stuff, though. That second last run was super smooth -- great stuff and gnarly combos. You have sick drifters. My favourites were the zulu drifters -- super cool. Nobody ever does that trick. Thanks Nate!

I was hoping for some new Pipe footage this calendar. Welcome back to civilization, and thanks for the video. My fav was the vertigo-nuke whirl.

Nice video, some really hard combos in there! Also liked the song, it fit the video well.

I need to skool my Drifters.
