Just not to let the rumours spread too much -
It's quite sure that Worlds will not be in Finland next year. In the FFA board we think that the WOC has been too slow taking the bids for next year and we couldn't make it the best Worlds ever if we took it now.
We want to make the best Worlds in Helsinki and that would be now possible in 2012 or 2013.
I'm not a fortune teller, so I can't promise this will happen, I'm just saying we would like to do it.

As Steve said, the body isn't even cold yet, so keep your pants on when talking about the next year.

Too bad the MTL scene here is pretty dead, 2004 was a fun worlds and the city is cheap. Ain't gonna happen for 2011, but we'll see for the future maybe.

The mtl scene isn't dead. We have pretty much the biggest net scene in the world... The fact is that there are not so many freestyler :).

Still, the net scene could organise everything, except what concern the freestyle. The someone like Ianek, or me, or Seb, or who ever want too could help.

See you soon M.Laroche.

Alas, my SSF4 skills reigned supreme, to the victor goes the spoils : ) Guys, let's hit up Evo next year for sure, and have a great freestyle jam while we are doing it. I think Ken is in, can't wait!
Good times,

Damn, and here I was, thinking how I'm probably the only freestyler with a passion for fighting games. Too bad I missed this worlds, would of whooped your arses for sure :D

Actually just got back from a Street Fighter tourney today, Chang and I competed, fresh back in Portland. Our Portland SSF4 crew has respect for footbag, they were asking all sorts of questions about how our Worlds went (their version of Worlds happened recently in Las Vegas, called Evo). Subculture respects subculture I guess, in Portland our two groups have a bit of crossover.

Worlds had some people who were into SSF4 for sure. On a more general note, that 24/7 event area was great. Aside from a few security issues (the one night I was there until 7am we locked it down), people really liked the space. A few nights there was a mix of footbag, juggling, dancing, poker tables, Pass the Pigs, Street Fighter, and a few other things to say the least. Footbag definitely was the thing that brought everyone there, but since that space was available so much to the players, other people's hobbies started popping up. Great stuff again to the organizers, it was cool to walk into the room at midnight and see so many things going on at once.

If you were a TRUE Ken fan, you'd know he is a big MvC2 fan at least :)

Also, smack talk only applies if you ACTUALLY plan to show up, or did!

Edit:

The quest to beat Red was brutal, Risden and I were almost demoralized, until we got the fire back and started to read Red better. Both of us came the closest of the tournament.

In the end here are the 2010 World Footbag Super Street Fighter IV Tournament

Top 4 (I believe, didn't keep the post thingy)
1st - Red(Sagat)
2nd - James Risden(Balrog)
3rd - Greg Raymond(Guile)
4th - Eric Chang(Sagat)

But yes, Jeff and Dante's button mash battle was beyond epic.

So many ppl playing with Guile since Daigo showed his potential against Justin, lol.
Hearing that you guys play SSFIV really makes my day :D My favourite is still Third Strike and I never really got into Marvel.

We're making a huge offtopic here, maybe we should make a seperate thread?
Anywayz, here is my promo video for our Sonic Boom tournament that happened a few months ago.
