well, it won't be me picking you up, K Hog...but that's just a loophole that I use to get around the whole "not touching myself" thing.
Or maybe I should have left that back in the other thread.
It's actually pretty easy to get to New Brunswick by train from NYC, so even if there's not enough drivers/cars in NYFA to get Beantown people there, we'll get you there no problem!
Crash space during the tourney is another question, but I'll probably get a hotel room and fit a zillion people in it.
Hopefully we'll have a full NYFA crew and at least a couple of the Boston guys ready to rumble!

I'll do my best to make it, sounds like good times!
@Matt K - I wouldn't go through the trouble of flying, unless you really wanted to. It's like a 3 hour drive from my house. We could carpool if you are interested, or we could try and meet up with others heading the same way.

Definitely going to try and make it out to this. I'll need crash space but I'd totally be down to split up a hotel room with however many other people need/want to do so.
Will/Matt, I don't know if it's more of a straight shot down through NY for you guys or if you have to swing over to 81 South but if it's the latter, I could drive from Binghamton and take you or carpool w/ you to split the travel costs.
Haven't really be playing much since NYFA but I love touries so definitely stoked for this!

Awesome-looking turn out on this so far! It's looking like Nathan Pipenberg, 3 other lesser known PSU players, and myself will be traveling down to this. It's not a complete 100 percent yet, but I've talked to everyone and this is how it's looking thus far. We could seriously use some crash space though. We'll definitely be driving quite the distance to make this. Anyone who could house us, we would greatly appreciate it since we're all college students
I'm sorry to say but I don't think there will be much crash space at this event. Not too many footbag players live in that area. We should all get hotel rooms and try to get as many people of the floor as possible.
I think we are going to run circle and routines. I would like to keep it simple. There will be two rounds of routines and we will do final circle on the second day. Will there be any intermediates at this event?

Sadly, you are correct about the crash-space situation. There is very very little crash-space available in total, and what crash-space there is, is pretty much already spoken-for.
Jim Hankins has just posted some info about hotels on Footbag.Org --
At the very least, everybody, now is the time to start talking about who's gonna share a hotel room with who. At $70 bucks a night, split 4/5/6 ways..., and this is only a two-day event -- you may only need one night in the hotel. But next year... Well, we'll try to do better next year.
Anyway, one other new piece of info on footbag.org ---

I don't have any info on which hotel is better... I'll try to gather some info soon, but I won't really have much opportunity for that since I leave for a trip to Oregon and the Beaver Open in a few days, and somebody said there's some kind of big storm this weekend...1) Candlewood Suites- 41 Worlds Fair Drive, Somerset, NJ, (732) 748-1400 (10-
15 minutes north of the site; double rooms starting @ $70/night)
2) Staybridge Suites- 260 Davidson Ave., Somerset, NJ, (732) 356-8000 (10-15
minutes north of the site; double rooms starting @ $80/night)

Of course, I encourage everybody to take a stab at competition -- there will be prizes ($$$ for Open, swag for Intermediate -- I'm gonna enter and try to win me some of that $$ ), and we are doing our best to draw an audience, presumably primarily from the nearby Rutgers University campus. We will NOT have on-line registration, but it would be cool if everybody who intends to compete could chime-in here to let me know, so I can begin to make a semi-official round-up of competition pools.Registration fees (t-shirt included):
-Open net and freestyle-$40
-Intemediate net and freestyle-$20

I'm down with splitting up a hotel room with as many other people as I can (within reason).
Also, I'll be bringing my car down through PA and Jersey probably via 81-S so anyone who could benefit from a pickup and lives near the highway, let me know. I'm also fine with driving to/from whichever hotel I end up using.
Stoked.
