quadgun wrote:What does everyone think of checking into the hotel the day before the event starts .... that way LaRaZa isn't overly packed and smelly ... and we can make it to the event on time for the first day too! :D

check in on the 27th and check out on the 30th.
I'm always up for hanging out with footbag players, unless its a barefoot Josh Raye after a shred session, jk, not really.

CIC & friends help out
I certainly don't simply help out, nor do you.

McCormick place announced the dates already aye? I can't believe this is already 2 pages. Sorta like what happened last year.

Gotta decide whether to help run this thing or not, and if so see where my best efforts would be.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

If memory serves: If you book a room for the sports fest (with the sports fest discount) 2 bed hotel rooms are like $80 if you book them early enough in advance.. There's a jewel (grocery store) within walking distance of the hotel/event site so you won't have to pay restaurant prices for every meal. Unless you plan on a night on the town $150 should be more than enough to get by on.

You can bring your own breakfast and lunch(buy stuff on a grocery run which probably wont be over $20 for the entire stay) or buy something around the event site, though that can get pricey.

For dinner we all chipped in for Giordano's(one of Chicago's most famous pizzerias) one day, Potbelly's sandwiches, and the last day a bunch of people just went to Chinatown cause its like a mile away. I dont know what we're going to do this year yet, so yeah.

It might be best if people planned their trips when more details are set. I understand everyone is looking for cheap rates and all, but in all honesty, we've not even begun any serious talks about this event yet.

As a heads up, it's not likely we'll be hosting very many guests at LaRAZA before and after the event. More on this later.

I've gone the last two years, and i brought no more than $80 each time, i paid $30 for the suite, $30 for a bag. I spent no more than $20 on food for 3 days.
