Regarding SJFF

Post by sampotter » 08 Oct 2008 11:43

Hey all,
This year there will -not- be a Seattle Juggling and Footbag Festival in the traditional sense for a number of reasons.

However, in lieu of that, Justin and I are thinking of having a Seattle jam (probably under the moniker of SJFF, for consistency's and tradition's sake) at approximately the same time. If there are enough interested people, I am sure we can make this happen. Justin was making noise about renting some space for it, etc.

Who all is interested? The only person I've talked to so far and has positively expressed interest is Dylan Fry.

Come on y'all, let's make this happen, if only so I can make it to a jam sometime in the near future. ;)

I'm looking at you Olympia, Missoula, Portland, Boise, Victoria, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Santa Clara!

Dates soon; need to touch base with Justin.

You can count Portland in to support the event, we will bring up as many players as possible if this happens!

This kinda makes me a little sad but I guess I saw it coming.

If the passes aren't horrendous I will be willing to make the trip from Pullman. I won't do as much shredding as juggling but will rep anyway.

Danny will be down also. I will call him about it.

Missoula's down. We got University funding to get out there so we should be able to hall out a couple intermediates that haven't got to check out an event yet. I'm glad to hear that it's still going down. I'm excited to make it out and see everybody.

I'll be there. I've been talking with the other guys from Boise, and we'll probably fly in for the event. I can't wait to see the everybody, especially my brothers from Missoula and the MFA newcomers. Seattle is probably my favorite jam (except for MFJ, of course  )
