wine and cheese follow up (new youtube vid)

Post by Reid » 02 Jan 2010 09:38

4th annual wine and cheese and jam

What: A weekend of footbag and festivities focused around one of the classiest gatherings of the year.

Where: Located just west of the beautiful University of Illinois' campus in Champaign Illinois. The event site is two and half hours south of Chicago with trains and buses leaving Chicago multiple times daily.

When: April 16-18 2010

Housing: There is plenty of floor space at my apartment for footbaggers who come. If you are required a comfortable bed there are plenty of hotels nearby.

"The wine and cheese and jam is the best event of the year!!!" Zach Jahner

"That was completely Griptits!!!" Nathan Andersen

This is the fourth annual? Well hopefully I will be able to make it three straight.

I'll vote/let you know my plans after I get registered for classes on Monday.

Any of those weekends are good for me. I start classes on the 22nd, so the 19 - 21 might be the worst choice for me. Other than that, my classes are on Monday & Wednesday, so no conflicts with any of the other dates.

Late March is best for me.

Not 100% sure if I could make it, but if I could work it out I would love to come see the CIC crew during the classiest footbag event North America has to offer.

Sweet!!! I'm going to give the poll one more week before I confirm the date, but it seems like it will most likely be late March.

So.... About that. Freddy pointed out to me that I didn't look into when spring break was for my school. It turns out it is the 20-28 of March, and I have a trip planned during that time. I apologize for my inability to check my schedule. Now I'm thinking more of a mid April event. The plus side to this is the weather will be nicer and we will potentially be able to play outside and maybe even organize a mushroom foray if people are interested. For now I'm going to throw out the dates of April 16-18.

Let me know if there are any conflicts with that. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have no idea what my work load might be like, but I don't have any scheduling conflicts with that at the moment. I'll let you know sometime in March. If my weekends seem pretty much free, I should be able to.

No matter what the date, expect on my presence to grace you. There is a good change (like 100%) that I wont be able to play footbag yet. But I will be there for the classiest event of the year.

I'm bringing homemade cheese and homemade wine.

I think I am going to be driving down to this event.

If anyone in Chicago wants a ride let me know. I can stop into the city and pick you up and then we will continue on our way to Reids for wine and cheese. Not while driving of course. The cheese would make me to gassy and I dont think anyone would want to be in the car with me then.

Nice Zach. My brother may be able to accommodate one or two people as well, so if anyone cannot find a ride from Chicago let me know and I will do my best to coordinate.

Yeah, don't eat too much cheese before hand. There will be plenty. Also, I'm very excited about this homemade wine and cheese prospect.

I'm gonna try to attend this. I'd be there Saturday and be leaving Sunday if it did happen. Took the comment about the woman out. That was mean. don't know for sure if she's coming with but if she does I'll probably be in a hotel.

Sweet! Saturday will be the day with all the cheese so that should work out just fine.
