Paris Footbag Camp - right after Euros

Post by Leuch » 07 Apr 2010 11:04

Fellow shreders, fellow spikers,

The Paris footbag crew is glad to invite all of you to spend some days in Paris after the European Footbag Championships which will be held in Brussels from the 25th to the 27th of June.

What’s your plan ?
- After Euros, grab a train in Brussels for Paris – the ride takes only 1h15.
- Chill, shred, spike and party (hard) in sunny Paris for 5 days

Why ?
- Because you have already crossed Europe/the world, so why won’t you go 1h15 further !?
- Because there are not too many events this summer around Europe…
- Because every time you come to the Open de France, you wonder how the city looks like in summer time with flowers and with happy people partying in the parks…
- Because you trust us to have fun !

Nota: Depending on how many people come, we will try to lodge everybody. In case we can’t, we will ask everybody to contribute to the expenses of the people sleeping at the hostel.

For freestyle, one nice spot will be defined per day (Eiffel Tour, Montmartre, Beaubourg…).

For net, sessions will be planed at the same spot everyday, the famous Bercy parc.

On Tuesday night, we could plan a special sightseeing program: visiting Paris’s undergrounds (all the city has underground corridors. It is officially forbidden to visit but… footbaggers can !) Bring you own flashlight ;-)

The other nights, we will most probably chill in some parks, and then groove for those who want!

Basically, everyday’s program will be sightseeing – footbag around 4/5pm – chill/party. Depending of how many Parisian footbaggers work at this time, you might have to climb the Eiffel Tour alone…

More info to come about transportation.

French Footbag Champs will be held the weekend after in Montpellier (South of France, euros 2008's spot), so most of the local players will leave Paris in the evening on Friday July 2nd.
Due to a lack of place, nets and time, net players will no be able to compete and play. Freestylers can shred anywhere !

We will not create a website for the event, so please, post here if you are interested to join us, and send an email to charles-dupuy(at) hotmail.fr to register and for more information.

See you soon for some nice action in Brussels and Paris !

By train it costs from 25 to 44€... The sooner you buy it, the cheaper it'll be.

Otherwise, you can check the bus, which is longer..

Any housing help would be much appreciated. PM if you are in Paris and can host a clean guest who will do magic tricks for you.
