I think I will almost for sure come down!
I don't know yet how much room I will have for passengers, but will advise shortly. Depending on the situation, I can drive 4 others, or if we rent a van, more.
We'll be in touch.

I need to be convinced with crepes to go to Kingston guys. :3

I have to see if traveling to Ontario would be convenient for me that weekend. Hopefully i can request a day off on Friday to ride/fly up to that part of Canada. :)

You might just have to take a trip down to Woodenheads Gourmet Pizza on Ontario St for:

Crespelle Cinghale

( wild boar and ricotta stuffed crepes baked 'alla Manicotti' with white wine, brandy, shallot and grape tomato butter sauce )

Sadly the only Kingston crepe joint closed down a year or so ago. But we have 2 new poutineries opening up in the next month!

That's awesome Cassy! See you there.

And yeah, Woodenheads rocks! Don't even worry about crepes, this place has the best everything for pretty decent prices and is right downtown!

Plus I'll probably have a part-time meal plan this year so I can get some guests in for a bit lower fare I believe to our cafeteria's at Queen's - amazing food, especially weekend brunches :D

I am getting really excited for this!

I am doubly excited it'll be during Queen's Homecoming (or unofficial one?), I'll bring my engineering jacket!

If you're in the GTA, it might be worthwhile to look into Megabus. They have some super cheap seats. I got my round trip for $40 total.

thinking about it, we are pretty spoiled by the amount of awesome places to eat in downtown kingston.

i originally suggested the wolfe island bakery for breakfast because it is close to my place & is high calibre deliciousness, but if we had a few cars available, we could go all out & go to Cora's. it's a bit more expensive, but super amazing.

Cora's will also fulfill many freestyler's now burgeoning & mighty need for crepe intake on a daily basis, after being horribly, horribly spoiled by Metro in Oakland.

how agreeable would an entry fee be received?

maybe $15 for players, $5 for spectators--to help cover gym costs mostly.

edit: initial entry fee too high.

Do we really need a whole gym?

How much does it cost to rent a dance studio?

I feel like a large entry fee is often inhibitive and discouraging.. I mean, I know there is stuff to pay for but a lot of that can be minimized.

For KICKASS 2 I got the place for free through a landlord, I just had to secure $1 Million (!!) insurance through Queen's, which wasn't too hard considering we were a ratified club and they do that kind of thing. I know the space wasn't as good as a gym, but I also didn't have to charge people a bunch of money just to participate.

Also, if I was some casual person wanting to 'check it out' I really would hesitate if I had to pay five bucks, just saying.

Keep up the good work Kingston! KFM!
