Green Cup Freestyle 2011 - Oakland, CA - May 28-29

Hey Modified,

I just wanted to let you guys know that the Stanford footbag club is once again working with Chaos footbag club to host freestyle at the Green Cup. The first two days of freestyle will be at the Bush Rod Recreation Center in Oakland, California. The freestyle events will take place on May 28th and 29th, with net finals on the 30th.

The events will include Open/women's/intermediate singles routines, circle contest, and sick 3. The event listing will be updated as time goes on. You can find out everything else you need to know at footbag.org: http://www.footbag.org/events/show/1295120951

We'd love to know who is attending. I will edit this thread as people confirm.

im gonna have a pretty sweet routine for it! will be great practice for USO or Worlds or both! just come shred with stanford

also, there will be $10 and $20 bear-bags.

Thinking of coming down, I'm about 50% right now. Still need to find out what the rest of Portland is doing. What are the lodging details? Floor space would help me make the trip.

as far as crash space, i would recommend asking sir goldberg,
but I can put 2-3 people in my room, located in mountain view (about 45 min drive to event site).

That's exactly the wrong answer, Brian (sorry). I'm not able to provide crash space, sorry. (I have very little room as it is, and I don't live anywhere near Oakland.) Just getting from my place to Oakland can be a challenge. I don't recommend it, even if you have a car. If you can stay on the BART line somewhere, though, you'll be golden.

Forgive the double post but I will probably have a room somewhere really close to the event site due to my company paying for my lodging out here so I have no problem offering hotel room space for as many that will fit. It won't be a huge room but I'm sure four or maybeee five could fit. No need for cash compensation, just good times!

I might be able to use a space or two. My plan right now is taking the BART back to the airport and sleeping there (trust me I have done it before). If more people come I can take floor space no problem. I have never met a single footbagger so I have no references of being a normal person. Just PM me if this could work out for you. Thanks!
