Penn State Jampionships -- APRIL 13-15
Dear Readers,
Penn State Footbag Club is hosting a weekend of fun times, casual competition and general shenanigans April 13-15.
All attendees are welcome to spend the weekend at my place, a spacious 5-bedroom house (err.. mansion compared to most apartments) that's about 5 minutes from campus.
On Friday night, we'll be checking out Ian Brill's art exhibit which he has been working on all year (and maybe longer??) It's his final project before getting his Masters!! Should be fun. After the show, we'll probably hang out downtown or at my house.
On Saturday, we'll be playing footbag on campus near the Business Building or indoors at Rec Hall depending on weather. Saturday night is the officially unofficial player's party/bonfire/jam session at my place.
Sunday, footbag will take place in the middle of campus on the basketball court in the Pollock Quad. We'll host two casual competitions -- circle and request, with more to be added depending on player interest.

Wow, kicking it off with a possible visit from Jay! Hey man, our college kindly welcomes you! I hope you can make it, it'd be great to have you to PSU. To bribe you into traveling down here, if you come, you get a complimentary squirrel from PSU campus. They're incredibly obedient.

Yeah, back in the day the Penn State Trio even hosted a tourney. It wa the Penn State Trio Obligatory Footbag Forum, aka PST OFF. This was in like 2001 I believe, and Yacine, Sebastien D, myself, Flash, Brad Nelson, and Caleb Abraham all showed. It was a great event, with competitive routines and I think shred30?
But yeah, I'm also glad to see the scene there thriving again.

I really like PSU main, one of the only things that kept me from going there was the "norm" of the student body. Bro-esque broey bros and "the Penn State girl", which Nick Polini described to the tee: Ugz, Northface jacket, and Penn State EVERYTHING for everyday attire. And the way they party is... just too much imo.
What I mean by all of this is that a Penn State jam would be the best of both worlds!! Time spent at an awesome campus that I had a hard time deciding against and a populous of shredders completely the opposite of the "normal" representation of PSU students. Sounds great!
I could only make the 5-6 weekend tho

Nick, it'd be excellent if you came to this, man. Hope you'll be there too, Josh. Ian, I really hope you're gonna be around for it. And Drew, I hope you and some of your gangsters can make the trip.
I talked to Dan Greer and he said Erie will be coming no matter what.
Also, Bob Riefer is trying to make it up here, as well as Jackson Raap & Jeremy Mellor.
Nathan and I have been talking about switching the dates and postponing it until December so we can have our club official by then, hopefully. If we have an official club and we host the jam with that, chances are we could get some free spring water for the jam, as well as some other perks. We'll have to see.
We figured it would be in everyone's best interest if we postponed it just until we're official.
TL;DR
Thanks people. Other people are coming. New date. Shit's goin down still.

We're looking at getting this rolling again.
What we're looking at right now is the weekend of APRIL 13-15 to coincide with Ian Brill's art exhibit.
Since we are now a PSU affiliated club, we will be able to get a swank outdoor venue, a few sponsors and plenty of public attention. So we'll probably try to do some real events, most likely circle (routines possible)
Still plenty of crash space at my house.
Who can make it???
