I am so excited. Seattle should be there in full force. Since we should have a strong showing (and a relatively short commute) we'll look into going the hotel route to avoid hogging all of the floor space. Thanks so much for doing this!

We have a nice park lined up in SE Portland, and some fun plans. It's going to be decent. You won't want to miss it.

I'm 95% certain to be there.

Will routines be only one round? If so, I vote to have routines before circle, since circle is draining and it'd be tough to do routines after circle. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your concern Ken, so to address your question:

1) Yes, there is only one round of routines
2) Yes, they will be before circle, and after a good amount of time to warm up. Routines and player happiniess is our main focus :)

What's the park's address? I'm already looking to book hotels. Will it be near public transport? Will there be a host hotel? Can you tell I'm already excited to go?

I plan on making quite a pimp routine.

Southeast Portland is 10 hours from Frisco?

The event is at Colonel Summers Park, located at SE Belmont and 20th. Many of us live in this neighborhood and there will be space available in addition to the hotel options. Yes the park is near public transport. It's a central location in SE Portland, sandwiched in between Hawthorne and Belmont which both run active bus lines. There's no host hotel yet. I just finished a couple important tasks with the parks & recreation people, so this is next on the list. And yes, I can tell you're already excited. :)

I just imagined you having a heated argument with Ron Swanson on the phone, slamming down the receiver in anger, and then methodically placing a "check" next to that item on your checklist on a notepad. :)

That's actually quite close to what really happened. Except I cross things off lists instead of placing a check next to them.

Mark, you can count on staying with one of us. We will be able to offer a good amount of crash space to those who need it.

For anyone getting a hotel room, two close ones are Jupiter Hotel and Eastside Lodge. Jupiter is the nicer of the two starting at about $130/night. Eastside Lounge is a standard cheap motel at about $75/night. They're a block from each other and about a mile from the park.

If lots of people are getting hotel rooms, I can look into group rates at either of these places but we're guessing most people will want crash space.

Nick -- I'm looking forward to coming to Portland for the Open. One question -- when are you going to post this on footbag.org??
