Epic Skydiving Footbag Adventure Camp 2014! July 4-6
Epic Skydiving Footbag Adventure Camp 2014! July 4-6
Are you ready to spend an amazing weekend camping, playing footbag and jumping out of an airplane with me!? Heck yes.
Details are somewhat tentative at this point but Skydive Gananoque is where I did my first jump and the people there are super cool and supportive! I've contacted them about the event and they are totally on board.
Hopefully everyone can register separately however I may have to collect your deposits in order to register everyone for the group rate. Details to come.
If you are planning to jump tandem the group rate is $235 CAD including tax.
Camping is free all weekend (even if you choose not to jump, but you should probably just jump )
This is going to be the most BADASS footbag event of the year. Be there or be boring!

Heck Yeah! This is gonna be awesome! Electric forest is the weekend before and I have yet to miss a year.

It would be awesome if other footbag players made the journey to the forest for a crazy festival with crazy shred. I'm not sure if I will try to come home after Electric forest or if I'll try to bum around for a few days leading up to the epic skydiving footbag adventure camp 2014. Either way I am planning on attending both.

this is such a great event idea and title. if it was anywhere close, i'd totally attend. been wanting to skydive for such a long time, never got around to doing it and somehow forgot about it. it now is back on the to-do-list for this year.

Dear Drew Martin, this repost is for you since everyone else is on facebook.
So I want to make sure we are super prepared for this! I have made a list of things that we will need. If you can bring anything off the list (especially if you are not paying for the jump) let me know - it would be appreciated!! It would be cool if people could bring food things to share as well. Also if you think of anything else, speak up. I know some people may need a place to sleep and I only have a tiny tent myself.
Check it -
Camping gear:
Firewood -
Ax - Johnny
Tarps/rope
Frying pan
Spatula
Tongs
Utensils
Plates/cups
Portable table(s)?
Garbage bags
Dish soap
First aid kit
Food to share:
Condiments
Burgers
Sausages/Hotdogs
Bacon
Eggs
Bananas
Apples
Bread
Peanut butter
Jam
For shred
Video camera for epic shred video
Music source - This I'm particularly concerned about. Does anyone have a decent stereo with an aux input that can be plugged in??
Extension cords for music
Bring for your self (or if you have extras):
Portable seating
Flashlights
Tent
Blankets/Pillow
Air mattress
Sunscreen
Bug spray
Water bottle
Lavers!!
Shorts
Cooler
Beer

Cool! I like special messages. I just went through my camping gear and I think I can bring a couple of chairs, rope and kitchen tools but I don't have anything else on the list. I found this huge tent in my basement that could sleep like 7 if need be or we could just use it as a chill out spot, I'll only bring it if it's wanted I plan on sleeping in my little tent anyway. I also found a little propane camping grill but from the looks of the list it's not needed. Boats has a nice amp that we could use as a sound system but it might be a little too big for what we need, he said we could bring it if need be. I have a little computer sound system that might be able to do the job. I'll bring foods, cooler, beer, shred gear and all the necessary camping gear plus a little extra.

Awesome Drew! I will be in touch about what to bring. Definitely the big tent if you can! We figured out the music so don't worry about that. The BBQ is also covered.
Re: Epic Skydiving Footbag Adventure Camp 2014! July 4-6
Is their any kind of schedule for events? When are most people arriving? Dave is talking about getting there Thursday evening, are other people going to be there?

Re: Epic Skydiving Footbag Adventure Camp 2014! July 4-6
I don't have a firm schedule yet but the jumps are happening Saturday between 10am and 1pm. Main events will be Saturday afternoon.
If you guys arrive Thursday evening then I probably will also. Most people seem to be arriving Friday evening but I'm totally down to hang out with you guys a day early! We can go to the beach or something Friday afternoon.
