Great idea Dan. I imagine a lot of events will be moving targets as the world continues to navigate COVID.

Absolutely - I've been seeing that with concerts and things here too, they'll get announced, then all of a sudden they've got a new date in November or so. Will be good to try and keep on top of things.

There's not really much chance for a real life gathering - it's interesting in seeing how the Australian Open tennis is looking - they are bringing Covid cases into an area that is close to Covid free, a lot of tennis player comments are not going down well, particularly because there are thousands of people around the world who are Australian citizens who are not allowed to come back.

But yes, online Worlds is the most likely scenario and I would say that is close to certain.

If I am not mistaken, there is no bid now, no way it will happen in Medellin this summer otherwise

Yeah, if there's no bid currently (end of January) I'd be shocked if anybody could pull off the logistics of securing an in-person venue in time for a summer or even fall event. To say nothing of the uncertainty of what countries will be vaccinated or permitted to travel by then. Online Worlds two years in a row isn't ideal for the community, but for sure better than the alternative (no Worlds at all). Hopefully this ends up just being a blip in the history of footbag, a weird aberration footnote. At least this year we have more experience with this kind of event, both from the organizers and the players' standpoint.

I don't mind online format as it gives every player the chance to compete since no travel fee!

I think it's the only way to go, and I really look forward to it. It will interesting to see if there is a difference in participation - people are in different stages of lockdown etc. I'm hoping and have suggested for me to run, some more basic events (kicking and whatnot)

That translation looks accurate, great work!

Also, just trying to find more information about worlds and came across this:

31 July to August 25...with finals on September 5. This sounds interesting; it means that there will be a week in between competition and finals for athletes to get fresh again I suppose? I wonder why this choice was made...did we do this last year? I can't remember and am typing this before I check.
At any rate, this makes things real! Time to put my head down and get some stuff together.

I think they mean the Final show is on September 5. So Finals submissions probably need to be filmed and submitted by August 25, which would give the judges time to review and judge everything, and the production team time to stitch it all together and get ready for the broadcast. Last year was similar, where I was relieved to finish my submissions for various Finals, but then felt like Schrodinger's cat as I awaited the broadcast and results a week later. I even made a video about it:

Thanks! Yeah they did a drawing based on everyone who managed to hit all of the combos, and my name was picked! I'll have to get a video with the bag the first time I use it. It is on its way to me as we speak.
