Very good combos from all of you! It was indeed a tough vote. I was
going to vote for Rob, because of the perfect control, especially the
pixie out of the assassin looked like cake. I voted for tom however,
for his use of 3 different sets and tough linking.

Very tough vote indeed.

Although Tom did have the hardest combo, I found his control to be an issue, so he lost my vote for that.

Rob's combo was also really good, but I thought the duck on the assasin could have been better.

I voted for Rory ... I really liked gyro mirage > DLO .. It look really cool, and its not something you'd expect someone to throw down in a sick 3, so it wins the creativity factor as well in my books.

All in all it was a close race between those 3 guys, and they all could have got my vote.

Oh yes folks, and don't forget what is on the line here for the winner ....

A signed photograph of RYAN SEATH ....
and a bag sewn by TOM MOSHER .. (Which, could be a pretty unexciting prize if the results continue how they are currently).

Now someone should start a campaign to get everyone to vote for Rob to make me eat my words.

I chose Rory. It was the most creative and well-executed combo, in my opinion. I was expecting to vote for Tom, because that is a NICE combo. I'm a huge Tom Mosher fan and love his style, but I felt this 3-move-combo was a little awkward-looking. Rory's gyro mirage was what did it for me -- spinning is too rare in sick 3s. Let's see more!

I also wanted to mention that Henry's combo was a little weird. I'm not sure if a pause between moves should be legitimate? It's kind of like Cod(?)'s 1000 toe stalls where he, like, paused every hundred or so and just stood around to rest. Nothing personal, I loved the bothsidedness of the pixie moves!

Seath's combo from last comp was AWESOME -- the pilon thing gave you points! You just need a more creative combination of moves -- dimwalk > ripwalk > blur is standard in almost everyone's game. The same goes for Cole and Joe's combos. This is just my opinion, but I think you would get more votes if the combos were more creative and unusual. Rob's was pretty neat -- I liked the pdx whirl!

Good stuff everyone!

again erik, i had it without the pause on tape. It wouldnt import onto my computer. so i was in a rush to get it on tape..

this was 10 minutes from the deadline. i should have done it earlier i know but i didnt have time. Next combo for me will be harder, more creative, and awesome!!!!!

woot i didnt think id even get one vote cause that friggin pause. when i was doing it i didnt notice it :(

I ended up voting for Rob. Assassin is the toughest trick up there, and it's definitely one that appeals to me. :)

Furthermore, that Pdx Whirl was TIGHT yo!

is it? the combo that won worlds 2003 sick 3 event

montage> whirl wind> montage rake

all spins

and 2004 worlds:

whirlygig> whirlwind> spinning pdx blender

2/3 ain't bad

looks like spins are a large part of sick 3's to me.

and look at the modified div 1 comp

I had 1 spin
Anssi had 1 spin
Sergy had 5 spins
Byrin had 4 spins
Ryan T had 4 spins
Chris had 0 spins

That's 15 spins in 18 moves 8O

I voted for Rory. Mosher's was a very close second but after seeing both Rory's was sicker in my book with the combinations.

I voted for Rory because his combo would be harder for me to hit than any others.
