yesterday, out of nowhere I tried to hit paradox backside blur. I came really close, but does anyone have any tips?
Paradox Miraging Symposium Mirage (Voodoo)
Moderator: Muffinman
Personally for this mentally - and likewise for voodoo (pdx) and other varients - I do the same thing I do with pretty much all downtime miraging moves - I worry about the part after the mirage (ie. the symp mirage in this case) and pretty much with that leg try and do exactly what I'd be doing without the first mirage - I also start the symp mirage as early as possible - so for voodoo (pdx) I'd set the bag up and immediately do a small hop to get into position and then jump off the symp mirage leg - probably start jumping while the bag is still on the way just before it gets to it's peak time. Definitely you want a highish knee lift with both dexes too but make sure you're coming down infront of the bag. I really think of it as aiming to do the dexes with your knees so that you can ensure the dexes are clean. If you're starting the dexes with your knees then you'll be finishing them with your ankles and it'll be clean. Voodoo and toe blur is very regularly hit "the" so you might want to film yourself to make sure it's all legit. I hope my tips help, I'm certainly not an expert on voodoo or downtime toe symp blur but I can hit both and some varients.jorden wrote:Merlin (downtime bs blur)
I think of merlin more as a whirling leggy symposium mirage. Set knee-ish height, slightly towards the side of the first-dexing leg. Do a half-whirl (aka heel yourself in the ass) over the bag. Keep this leg dangling above as you go for the 2nd dex. Launch off the ball of your other foot, position your body directly OVER the bag as you do a leggy symp miraging dex. Think of it as a symposium swirl, only not cross-body. Bring the horizontal 'whirl' leg back down as soon as you clear the 2nd dex, level it out and stall!
