yo will! this halftime show is a great opportunity. Don't be nervous, you have incredible skill, you'll be able to represent hardcore, I know it.
It's going to be important that you speak loudly and clearly, so plan what you're going to say before you do your thing. It will be easy. Just go on the court, face the crowd, wave, and say "Hi, I'm Will Digges. My friends and I have a blast playing footbag, and I'm going to demo some basics, then do some freestyle for you. When you start, you should just do some kicks." Then do 6 basic kicks and catch it in your hand. Take a small bow. Then shout, "once you can kick it, you should learn your catches." Then do toe stall > toe stall > clipper stall > clipper stall > repeat > hand catch > small bow, so they've got an idea of what's going on.
Then shout, "once you can do your catches, you can work on some basic tricks." Then do some butterflies, legovers, ducking clippers, spinning clippers, pickups, etc. Basic guiltless tiltless. Hand catch, smile, small bow.
Then shout, "once you've got those basics, then you can do whatever you want with it" and go for 3s, 4s, and end with a big move like spinning whirl or ps whirl. Make sure you just do your solid moves, don't worry about guilting, be smooth, have fun, don't worry. When you end with your big move, hand catch. If you drop, smile at the crowd, start again with some kicks, and go back into shred. Just make sure to look comfortable. Smiling, eye contact, a loud voice, and long strings of basic tricks are your friends.
Anyway, once you hand catch after your big string, take a deep breath, wave at the crowd, and do a bigger bow. Then shout, "if you want more information, or if you want to play, or if you like long walks on the beach and romantic dinners, come find me. Thanks!" Wave, smile, jog off court.
Remember, a loud voice and a wave will get their attention first, then the freestyle will hold them. Smiling will make you look like you're having fun and feeling smooth, so people will like it better. Small bows are a cue for them to applaud, so it will get them involved and watching. Long strings are more impressive than big moves. Double around the world is a GREAT trick because it's comprehensible by non-players, and looks huge to them. Pendulum is the craziest trick ever, way more hardcore than blurry whirl or jani walker.
Try to remember all these things, and most importantly, have confidence. You're going to do great. You'll blow their minds and represent freestyle really well, I know you can do it. see if you can film it. Practice what you're going to do in front of the crowd at the game for Josiah and Pat. It will make you more confident when you go up to do the real thing.
Good luck, buddy!
See you soon, hopefully.

Its going to be pretty hard for him to speak matt, he'll be doing it in a pretty large gym with lots of people so he won't be heard very well. There are 4 different large sets of bleachers at each side of the gym. I think they'll probably introduce him on the sound system and then let him go at it. I think it would be easier if you walked up to the mic first and said a couple things about freestyle. He'd have to walk from the middle of the gym to the mic if he wanted to talk during his demo, otherwise everyone wouldn't be able to see him the whole time. The rhoutine sounds perfect though.

hmmm... Josiah's right, maybe at the start, you could take the mic, introduce yourself, and say you're going to show some basic kicks, and some basic catches, then, some basic maneuvers, and then freestyle shred.
I'd recommend keeping the smiles, waves, and bows, though. Interracting with the crowd in any way keeps them involved.
Good luck willie! this is so cool! It's situations like this that give undeniable validity to freestyle. sporp!

Hey will.
First off, good luck, I know it will be a lot of fun. As far as being in a loud gym and not being able to hear very well...
The best thing is to use very basic english. Matt`s post is excellent. If you find that your voice isn`t being projected well, either speak more loudly
OR use simply sentences. For example, after your bow from the basic kicks, instead of saying something like "Now once you are able to do all of those basic kicks..." maybe something like "OK? Then, Next is catches", or "Now, Catches". Using simple english that foreigners would even be able to understand makes it really easy for native speakers to understand. Plus you are going to show by example, not by just explaining it, so if you say "Catches" or "tricks", they might not be exactly sure what you mean, but after you show examples, they should understand.
As far as being nervous, that is normal, and the best thing I can say, is to feed off of it.
dont think of being nervous in a negative way, think about i t in a positive way.
Hope this helps

Good luck on the demo when it comes around. You definately have the skill and the consistency to make it rock. One thing I would recommend is don't think about all the people there-- odds are they don't really care that much if you drop or screw up. Just do your thing. You're gonna rock.

Thanks all!
I had a hardcore session today, which boosted my confidence significantly.
Heres the run down of what I hit:
Practiced a shred 30, and I got pretty close to a complete shred 30, it needs a bit more planning.
20+ contacts of Rubberman (estimated)
Blur > dimwalk (repeated about 8 times or so)
Blurriest Swirl
Shooting Torque (not sure if its pdx or not.)
Ripped Warrior > Jani Walker > Ps Whirl
Pheonix > spikehammer > pheonix > Blurry whirl > Blurry whirl > Ps Whirl
Jani Walker > Whirlygig
Jani walker > Blurriest
Ripped Warrior > Blurry whirl > blurry whirl > Ripped warrior
Pheonix > Ripped warrior > Spikehammer
Happy shredding!
P.S - My foot is starting to feel better, tieing my shoes looser and wearing double socks helped a lot. I will get new insoles soon too.

How pdx works with nuclear is that nuclear -is- paradox unless it's a ss move afterwards. The nuclear set (and by default shooting) gets a pdx add if you hit an op component after the set (unless that move never gets a pdx in the case of a double down, reverse whirl, butterfly, etc.). So pornstar is shooting ss double down (clip>no plant while op in>op out>plant>same out>same out>op clip) and shooting star is the other side double down. The sides work the same with the rest of the moves. Shooting torque is like nuclear torque with an extra dex... Hope that cleared it up.
oh, btw...
PROPS HOLY CRAP
You're nuts!! I'd love to see a recent video of you, your style is ill.
