yah the style pisses me off. actually, around here, the proper term is 'scenster' or a 'scene kid', which involves
- really, really tight fitting pants
- studded belts
- tight fitting shirts and hoodies
- make up sometimes

erggghhhh, there are a good handful o scene kids at my school and they just look so dumb, i can't stand it.

however, i have heard that true emo music (which doesn't mean fallout boy and shit like that) can actually be good music.

GlassJAw was cool about 5 years ago.... Everything now is ultra-not-cool.

And the hair style?!?! It has come and will go just like every other trendy piece of dirt.

Haha, you guys are so funny. I've never seen a bunch of people so scared of stereotypes. So far we've checked jocks and emos off the list, who's next?

Hardcore all da way biatches.

I also think people completley mis-interpret what real emo actually is.

I finally find out what "emo" people were today.

Dude why do you want to be like that? 8O

I have always believed in being comfortable with yourself rather than trying to dress or act in a paricular conformity. I call myself a conforming non conformist because somedbody said that everybody conforms to something. Don't worry what other people think about your hair or your clothes - do what you think is cool.

Word.

That also means that if you think a stereotype look is cool, then power to you. Go for it. And it's true, lots of chicks do dig the emo cut haha.

Hmm... I guess I do have an emo cut. One side of my bangs cover some portion of my eyes. And yeah, the chicks dig it.

I doubt I'll consider a head mod though. I just don't have the right type of hair to do it on.Tom's head mod rocks!

Ok, seriously now.
Zoikoson wrote:seriously... whats with emo kids wearing chick pants? its freakin gross. WEAR CLOTHS THAT FIT
Well, hey, if that's comfortable for them, why not? It conforms to out globabl society's basic rules (Wear SOMETHING).

Or because they find it beautiful for some reason and want to look like that. You are a poser if you try to act like them. >_>

Right. Good music somewhere in every 'subculture'. Quite a misconception with goths too. Now with all the netgoths and such, people confuse them with the death/black metalists and whatnot.

What about them goth/netgoths? Oh, right. None of them in footbag... ;_;
Wasabi wrote:I doubt I'll consider a head mod though. I just don't have the right type of hair to do it on. Tom's head mod rocks!
What is the head mod? Specifically Tom's 'mohawk(?)' thingie? Just short(er) hair?

I can probably do the mohawk if I grow out hair for another half a year or so, but the necessity of pouring out hundreds of grams of gel on hair every day makes that seem so unworthy.

As to this whole discussion, well said, Jeremy. One should loo exactly how he wants to look assuming it is within the boundaries of the rules society has set for us.

too the "they wear tight girl pants"-sayer:i think, wearing pants that are a bit tighter makes more sense than wearing baggys...you cant loose em!

i´d say i´m not emo,but i look like it sometimes.cause when i dont sleep my 6 hours over a time like...3 days then i get this realy big fat dark eye rings, then i love wearing tight shirts and hoodies...so i couzld be missinterpreted as emo...or?just a drugg-adict... :D ..

emo is a cool music style anyway.i even like this comercial "we only make this because it earn smoney" bands.in the end, this music was made to get liked by many people(what makes it in the end pop-music)so why shouldnt i,you everyone like it when it sounds nice....

for your hair problem...do ball mod.chicks dig ball heads...if you have a propper head and a manly face you should get ball head.anything else...like babyface...get super emo,and hide it,or not.chicks seem to dig babyfaces.... :?

hm,could have been a joke...if so,sorry for the stupid answer!

that sentence make absolute sense, maybe i should learn more about english grammar.but what i meant,if you have a shitty face,do some sort of emo cut to hide it.if you have a handsome face,do ball.its so much easier to take care of....unless,if you have baby-face,then ball looks stupid...was this clearer?

Yeah that made sense :) And it was definately a joke... can you imagine someone's pants bursting open so bad they fall off 8O that be hilarious hahaha.

What if your hair and your face are shit? I get all the luck :( I want to grow my hair longer but it's so curly and crap, it's uncontrollable at any length beyond very short.
