Kljopa's Blog

Post by Kljopa » 23 Feb 2006 15:42

Hey all :)
I've just started climing to the top of the footbag freestyle summit.
I've tried various type's of training session's i made out.And today i wrote a training which consists of five parts.
Over all 3 hours.
First 30 minutes streching.
30-60 min's practising kicking.
60-120 min's learning first add tricks and some from the second add.Mostly delaye's.At the moment i want to master cliper delay. And have a long term goal to master the dragon set.
120-165 min's practising kicking and adding to them in the process simple trick's:delays etc.
165-180 streching.
And when i master the basic's i'll change the grafic a little bit.I'll practise kicking with simple trick's.After learn more diffucult trick's and then practise them while kicking.

What do you think?

Edit: 21.08.07

Damn my session were like a fucking ritual or something :D

It's been almost 2 month's since i started this blog and almost 2 month's since i started freestyling.I do train like this still though it round up to 30-40 min's stretching before the session and then like 1.5-3 hour's drilling/shreding and then 30-40 min's streching.

Oh and i do this little thing every session.
30 attempts for
ducking toe
spinning toe
dragon(15 both sides) just to keep the in form
swirl(15 both sides) i hit it on strongside yesterday will work on it!

Maybe any other suggestion's?

I got my basic's down pretty good by now(both sides) im emerging guiltles now.Started to stitch too,ill try to get some pic's of my bag's they are lame tho .

Im going to have a session with Ilja(not Mitrofanov,i got this dude to footbag like 5 day's ago) in 2 hour's.The weather is great!

Oh and here's a list of what i can hit(maybe someone is interested)
2 add:
mirage, illusion, legover, atw, pickup, pixie, ducking toe, spinning toe, clipper, bubba and fairy tho i dont train it(dont like it).
3 add:
pdx mirage,dlo,osis,ducking cliper,diving cliper,flaper,ducking mirage,drifter.
4 add:
buttersole,blender but from toe,maverick,ducking butterfly.

Not all of them are bs but im working toward's that.I want to build a good both sided game

This is about it
:)
I can do 10-20 long tiltles strings, not always though.Guiltles about 4 moves is my record.
So yeah
SHRED ON :D

wow, youre alot better than i thought you were!

great to hear your doing alot of stuff with footbag. i think yyour training list may be alittle to commanding, and maybe you should just try and hit new stuff, and have a list of things to work on every session. but not down to minutes tho. thats extreme, imo. but do what works for you.

try some symposium stuff... i didnt see that in your list, its pretty easy, and looks really cool if you have good form and execution.

shred hard!

I sure will Brian.I did symp mirage's well atleast i though so, i did them wrong ill try to hit one this week.

I think about new stuff to hit before session too, about the drilling i usually decide what to drill once i start shreding :).Today i felt like drilling osis.

Hit pixie ss osis bs again :)
osis>osis
Diving osis
Ducking osis
That's two new 4 add's! :D
Also i got the hang of drifter's!Yesterday i hit em once on both sides.Today i hit like 20 on right side and 10 on left. The right ones feel really good, ill try to do drifter>drifter

Finally hit pdx mirage on right side. Now to do butterfly>pdx mirage bsos!
Drilled swirl a bit,my knee get's tired so fast while doing this move.

I missed some stuff on the list of trick's but hey it doesn't matter much anyway

I've stitched a six panel bag before the session, thinking of stitching a 12 one today.

I'll post some pic's later today :)

Rock on Aleksei!

This is kid is progressing so fast it's unbelievable. I am sooooooo jealous. Read the top of the blog from 2 months ago, he was still learning to hit clipper, now he's hitting a bunch of 4's??? That's like a new ADD level every month. He keeps progressing like this he'll definitely be the next footbag wonderkid! :o

Watch out.

Thank's for the trick's Brian.
I am supposed to hit em and repeat or just hit?
Would be cool to see some linking drill's.

Today i had solo session. This session was strange.I spent nearly 2 hour's outside, but i didnt have the same mood and dedication as always.Maybe because im tired,or it was windy and the wind was cold and my legs got sore real fast,or something else. But i didnt shred as hard as always.I did hit some stuff, few 4 add's,3 contact guiltless strings, and like 10-15 tiltles stuff.
Hit symp mirage on strongside. Was close on flip.
Hit a cool new move first inside barefoot then in my code:u's outside, its like an osis but with flaper.
Tryed spinning ducking,that's evil.

So yeah im feeling strange today

But regardless this it was still a good session.I believe that even a single toe delay develops my game a little bit.You get the point.

ok .

hit 40 contacts of mirage>legover rpt, illusion>pick up rpt ( as many as
possible ), clipper>ss clipper rpt x 20, osis>ss clip rpt and butter>pdx
mirage rpt for ever.

if you can do all that, do 30 tiltless with somebutters, osii and pdx mirages.

if all these challenges are in your blood ( not only hit once ), you might be ready for going guiltless. but there is no need to rush, take your time
and make everything look/feel smoove and "perfect", bevor you go further.

when all this has beace your shred reality, learn sets like pixie and stepping.
my first drills were plo>plo, smear>butter>pdx mirage rpt, ducking clipper
back 2 back, and butter>stepping legover>smear>plo rpt .

TAKE YOUR TIME and HAVE TONS OF FUN :D

those are just some tricks to get you into guiltless mode. id like to see you hit them bs, then midstring bsos.

yeah, somtimes i just dont shred hard. it happens about twice a week. its usually when i just get tired, and give up. or just dont hit much, so i get frustrated, and walk away.

props on getting to guiltless level so quick. i wanna see who can go solid tiltless first, me or you! ( prob. you)

shred hard

have fun

Thursday:
Thursday was more like a rest day.We had a little session with Ramil.
It was a very fun ses.Just we reacher our shred spot and it started raining,so we went to our school and played there(there is a little roof above the entrance.Had lot's of laugh's training. We spent there about and hour and 20 min's or so.I filmed Ramil a bit for the movie that we are making.
Drilled tiltles and stuff :)

Friday:
Me,Ilja and Ramil decided to make a session. So we got some and went to our city's sport complex. It was to train high, but i wanted to drink so bad.Got lot's of great idea's that i need to think over.
After the sport complex we some more and shreded outside :) it was really cool.Ilja hit some new move's was close to a mirage.
I drilled tiltles.

Today:
I had a small afternoon session with Ramil. We stretched at my place and went outside.I thought of new drill for myself.
guay>hopover>clip set mirage
Hit it bs,going to go for repeat this evening making it bsos.
After drilling it i found my mirage's and pick up's going a lot easier, and i came to a conclusion that i should do reverse guay>hopover>clip set mirage too.To train both in and out dexes. :)

A fun thing we hit today with Ramil.I hit pendulum the bag flew over to Ramil and he did pendulum right away :) that was cool.

Going to shred a bit more in 2 or 3 hour's.

Drilled tiltles.
A few run's were cool with osis bsos and overall like 15-20 contact's feelt really great :D
Also i cut out panel's for my first 32 bag that ill start puting together today or tomorrow in school.
The hopover drill got my clipers alot better and my osises too :) Was soo close few times today to hit it bsos(the drill).
Did a new tiltles trick:reverse hopover :)
I keep training ducking/diving osis every session for a little bit, love the ducking motion :).Maybe later ill be able to do spinning diving/ducking osis.Would be awesome :P...ah dreams
