Awesome news! Red Star Ironworks has agreed to sponsor SCSO by fabricating trophies for the event!
Not sure how many yet or what they'll look like, but everything they do is SWEET, so who cares!

Also, anyone planning to stay at the host hotel, keep in mind that you need to reserve by June 12 in order to get the discounted rate. CheckHood's SCSO page for more hotel details.

T-minus 17 days and counting until Pittsburgh proper's first ever footbag event! Hells yeah! :D

Yacob is being modest over here- this is a considerable feat! These cats wipe their butts with prestigous art degrees!

Well, I thought I'd reserve a room, but they said noone was in to make reservations at this time...cause they worked till 9 PM...soooooo... they should honor what they said and still take my reservation tomorrow. So if anyone wants to join me in my room, I'll be dividing the costs. I just want to make sure if anyone wants to come, they have a place to stay. Oh yeah, I've gotten 2 confirmed 32 stitchers to donate, and one...namely shredzilla is 99% sure he can donate one also. So enjoy !

So I went to this free Moe concert at the Point this weekend and saw more hack circles than I've ever seen in my life! I swear there were like 15 different hack circles going on at once!
Luckily I had flyers with me, so as I hopped into the circles, I'd bust out some freestyle and then give everyone flyers for SCSO.

Alot of people seemed into it, so hopefully there will be some interested hack players showing up and who knows, maybe some of them will take an interest in footbag and swell the ranks of Steel City Freestyle.
Either way, it'll be sweet to have interested spectators.

Also, it looks like Redbull's gonna show up and give us all "Sampling Opportunities" to quote their corporate lingo. Haha, looks like there's gonna be some hyper-active shred in the Burgh!

If anyone missed the hotel deadline and is bummed they can't get the discount, let me know. I may still be able to hook it up.

Sent a sponsor bag to John Mahood. Hope he gets it! I won't be able to come to this event, though. :(

"Footbag can be pretty frustrating when it's supposed to be fun. I was partly driven by this forum - practice, practice, practice... As that is true, I think someone can be too focused on progressing and training that they miss the fun aspect of it." - Bander87

The plans are all set. This tournament seems like it should be pretty solid. Fun times shall be had. Incredible shred will be seen.

And not to mention the bomber saturday night will be like nothing anyone has ever seen. Only Hood knows what's in store for everyone in the late hours.
