Official 2006 US Open Vids

Post by redshredz » 19 Aug 2006 11:58

Here are all the freestyle competitions at the 2006 US Open. Due to time constraints (I am about to go on vacation) some are only top three places.

http://www.solepurposefootbag.org/media.htm
http://www.footbag.org/gallery/showset/USA (Faster downloads, not all events up here yet though)

Included is:
Open Performance Routines
Open Big Trick
Open Sick 3
Open Shred 30
Rippin' Run
Circle

Intermediate Performance Routines
Intermediate Big Trick
Intermediate Sick 3
Intermediate Shred 30

The Circle vids are large files (each one is ten minutes, lots of content), it will take longer to download those of course. I would also recommend downloading the newest version of Quicktime if there are playing issues, it's good to have in any case.

I encourage anyone who has competition footage to put it up as well!

Lol, I look like a real winner in Rippin' run at the end. My muscles just spasmed. Could've done without the little girl "ow" though. Oh well.

Great videos so far red. I've got three downloaded.

If I wasn't about to go out I would host them on footbag.org. I'll do that later.

Also I am putting it out there anyone, you may host these vids on another site, re-encode them, and so on (the point is they get out there to be seen)! It looks like the Sole Purpose site is being flooded at the moment.

OK in all seriousness here, I really wanted to see the video of Kyle Hewitt's second sick 3 in intermediate competition. Don't get me wrong Dimwalk > DLO > Symp Mirage was dope but he also hit Henry's Tail > Butterfly > Near Mirage. It was one of the most hilarious things I've seen and definitely a highlight of the tournament for me, I was laughing so long after that. So if Zeb or someone else has the video for that, please post it. Thanks,

Ben

Hahaha that was so much funnier in person! Hey thanks for hosting these Red, for some reason Mike's hosting is broken, so I'm waiting for my .org account to be activated.

Ok, in all seroiusness here... RED YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

MEGA props on not only organising what looks like one of the best footbag events in HISTORY, but also getting the footage out so damn fast! It is a massive task to get that much competition footage edited and uploaded in this short of a time, so Red, I salute you for that!
Also props on getting such excellent file sizes for the quality of the video's it makes it that much easier when the editor has a good compression setting for his videos :)

As far as the content goes, wow, just from watching it on video the event looks like it was SO much fun! Almost makes me wish I was american . Everyone was having a great time and the vibe from the crowd was phenominal! That is not to mention some of the most intense shred footage i've ever seen, I can't believe 2 shred30's over 260... that is nuts.

Go footbag USA!

Heh, I didn't expect the routines to use as much bandwidth on mwhansen.org as they did. Solepurposefootbag.org is running on the phasing.org machine so it's being hit pretty hard for bandwidth. I'll see if I can bump up the bandwidth here ASAP to make the downloads go faster.
