You can remove me from that list. I've played about 8 times in the past two weeks now, and my ankle hasn't rolled once. It's still bigger than my other one, and still a source of discomfort, but this all in all this is good news. Pain shmain, I'm overjoyed to be playing again.

Right hip is down for the count.
Shinsplints are.. Not as horrible as they were. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I am hoping and semi-believing that there are no fractures. They have not felt 'normal' for like 4 months, and they hurt a lot more while I'm playing.
I hate injuries. HATE. I've said it before: I feel like shooting a grandma in the face every time injuries bug me. I feel like fucking tearing 50 peoples heads off and beating them to pulp with a spiked bat, stabbing my eyes out and roaring the whole time.

Rolled ankle. Again.

Was playing flag football at school two weeks ago. Ball was passed to me, I dodge 2-3 guys, and tried spin jumping through three others. That failed to say the least... Well, I scored the touchdown by like 6 inches, but when i came down, my left shin collided a guy nicknamed Gushi (I don't know his real name, lmao.). It hit his knee. Someone else's leg was pushing down on my heel. So my leg was being hyper extended. Not to mention my elbow smacked the floor along with my head hitting the floor too. So that all hurt, but my leg, fuckin' killed. I passed out a few minutes after it happened and woke up 10-15 minutes later. Ended up going to the hospital in the backseat of my truck.
All this commotion, and the urgent care people, tell me there's nothing wrong with my leg... And I"m like, "So why does it feel like there's a bone poking out?" They told me to go home, and take aspirin, I'll be fine by the next day. 5 days roll by, and I still can't walk, because it feels like I'm cutting my skin whenever I tried to.
So, yesterday I went in for an MRI, and I'm going in either tomorrow or the next day for a bone scan. My doctor said that he thinks I have a torn tendon, and/or muscle tissue. I can walk now... but I have to be careful not to extend my leg too far, or it hurts like the dickens. And I'm on 800mg of ibprofen 3 times a day, because my doctor won't give me vicodin until he knows what's wrong with my leg...
It's very very frustrating because I was supposed to start running around the lake with my buddy John, so he can get in shape to pass his PT test with a score of 300(Perfect score.) or better at this month's drill. That's the last thing he needs to do before they'll promote him to Specialist, and now, I can't fuckin' help him, so now I feel bad/guilty/responsible.
And we moved to a new house all of last week, and I couldn't help my dad move driers/washer/stove/fridge/couchs/etc, we had to get help from a few of my friends instead. I don't deal with being physically limited very well at all. If i were paralyzed from the waist down, i'd probably kill myself, or fall into very severe depression. With all the nice weather lately, I wanna go on the deck and shred, run around the lake, rollerblade through the downtown streets, and whatnot. Lame ass leg injury...
Ok, now I sound like I'm whinning. lol. Oh well.

lol, I feel like that too. But my analogy consists of punching babies and incinerating unborn fetuses.DanJohnHarris wrote:Right hip is down for the count.

broken right pinky finger. its a pretty bad break (they tried unsuccessfully to set it 3 fucking times, and i have to go to a specialist wednesday. i might have to have a pin surgically implanted in my pinky to keep the bone in the right place so i dont know how long i'll be out. i figure once it stops hurting so much i can play with it in this condition, but im definitely giving it at least a week, and thats if things go really well.

suprisingly the story of how it happened is fairly unentertaining. i was transfering from the street up onto the sidewalk on my bike and it was a little uneven so my tire got stuck and my bike slid out from underneath me. i landed awkwardly with my hand under me, thought i was fine until i looked at my hand and saw my pinky was going in about 4 directions.
