haha, props!! Can't wait to go bowling again! We'll definitely have to hit the (bowling) alleys in Sydney when I get my ass down there!dyalander wrote:In a totally weird coincidence I read your blog yesterday, then went bowling yesterday night and proceeded to bowl a 159! I didn't realise until just then when I was checking out the blogs and it hit me. Crazy.
had a GREAT session yesterday. Here are the highlights:
new trick: flip gyro dlo
new combos:
osis > gyro mirage [rpt]
osis > (flip) vortex (second ever flip vortex.. very sketchy)
osis > (flip) gyro dlo
(parwalk > schmoe > plo) [rpt] > dimwalk > infinity > ps whirl > scorpion's tail > osis > stuff
osis > gyro dlo BSOS (second ever flip gdlo)
spinning osis > gyro mirage
a run with diving osis > gyro mirage and ducking osis > (other) gyro mirage
ps egg bsos non sealed
other stuff I tried:
close to the following on both sides:
osis > gyro osis > gyro mirage
osis > gyro osis > spinning osis
dyno > gyro
osis > little apple
tried the following to NO avail whatsoever:
torques > gyro ...
mobius > gyro ...
close also to spinning blender > gyro mirage
Anyway this is all very uplifting. only 2, maybe 3 sessions ago I challenged myself to hit flip osis > gyro mirage and ended up actually bsos ing is at the end of that session. next session I was BSOSing it all over the place. Yesterday (3rd session) I was close to symping it, I've hit it back to back, I've added difficulty by BSOSing gyro dlo and I'm overall super super stoked to see some bloddy progress in a period where I felt my game was declining.
So yeah, all is well and good

Havn't posted in here in a while. Hadn't kicked in a while too but the sun is finally showing itself around these parts (Brussels) so I had a short two-man session yesterday with Seb.
Was good, played about an hour was in ok form did some shuffling, hit a bunch of 5s, did some zooming and got close but didn't hit these tidbits:
- fog > smoke (rolled off my foot so many times)
- bed > quantum butter... I will hit this
- zomming (near) illusion BS many times but not bsosed
- gave some very very good attempts at whirling > mobius but no cigar. Maybe next session.
Also hit a pdx atom.. that had been a while!
Anyway, good session outsied, hope to do some more!

schmoe > parkwalk > blur > dimwalk > schmoe > parkwalk > blur > dimwalk > sidewalk > ripwalk > sidewalk ..
tomahawk > hatchet
phoenix > blurry drifter > spinning whirl
bedwetter > toe ripwalk
very close to blurriest > blurrier...
and hit the first 26 contacts of a 30s shred i've been trying lately:
smear > plo > plo > dimwalk > sidewalk > ripwalk > pdx mirage > pixie op side clipper > spinning butter > spinning clipper > spinning osis > infinity > pdx mirage > toe drifter > gyro mirage > over down > diving clipper > ducking clipper > ducking clipper > ducking osis > infinity > ps whirl > merkon > dlo > ss osis > pdx whirl > drop

hello there blog!
Ok I havn't stopped kicking, but with all this cold rainy weather recently I havn't been doing as much as I'd like.
Still, tonight I'm off to Paris for the 9th French Open which I'll help judging. I'm even bringing a couple of Belgian kickers along with me!
Ok so recently I also hit:
- spinning whirling swirl
- whirring swirl (not the first time)
- whirr > whirling swirl

Ok, so I'm back from the French open. Nothing much to note except that I did my best ever shred 30 performance with a 152 or thereabouts.
I saw Milan play: he's very talented indeed.
So is Serge. I saw him hit:
toe blur > toe ripwalk > blur [rpt] > smear > dimwalk > blur [rpt] > fear > fairy butter > blur [rpt] > atom > leg > blur > atom drop...
(or something very similar, maybe one trick more or less).
Also saw him hit
alpine toe blur > alpine smear > fairy ducking butter > run with ripped, atomic ducking osis and a drop on flip phoenix.
He also hit 220 or so in shred 30.
Oh yeah and Tina had a 1 drop routine, dropping in the final trick (whirlwind) very Vasek-style-choreography to her routine.
Alrighty, back to work!

Haven't kicked in a while. I should be kicking tonight and / or tomorrow night also. Have too much stressful work at the moment, and am planning a bunch of other stuff too (Oz immigration / job; new years party at mine getting organized etc.)
sooooo I thought I'd post some random photos of my apartment it seems a lot of people have done this in their blogs.
Anyway these photos were taken a while back. So here goes:
The Kitchen:

Not exactly the room I use the most. But my g/f has cooked some fantastic stuff in here. Oh yeah the beer stays out on that little balcony thing at the back to stay cold
Next we have the guest bedroom / walk-in wardrobe:

As its name implies this is where friends sleep over when they come over there's an extra mattress under the bed. More importantly this is where I keep all my clothes (it's in a wardrobe to the left, not seen in the photo). There's a little suit-holder-thing there also.. very useful. This place is often a lot messier than it is in this photo. Come to think of it, I've never seen it this sparkling clean. Alright so now er.. well let's see what we have:
The Corridor!

nothing much to add really. 1st door on the right is the kitchen, second door on the right is the guest bedroom
Big Wooden Front Door
is you do a 180° from the where the previous photo was taken, what do you have? The massive wooden front door:

what you can't see on the other side is that there's a very intimidating iron gate / grill for added security / bling!
dining room

yeah it's a bit big for only two people, but handy when you have some friend over for dinner. I've also shredded in this room before (moved the table out of the way. but the floor colour was a bit confusing and well it's just a bit cramped really...

ok just a second photo of the dining room where you can see what I like to call the "second guest bedroom / store-your-crap-closet". It's that little closet thing with a ladder walking up to it. two people can sleep in there easy. You can fit a big double mattress in there. You can't fully stand up in it but it's pretty useful for just storing junk that you're too lazy to throw away.
Ok so now just next to the dining room, the living room!

that's what it looks like from the dining table anyway. It's where I spend quite a lot of time whilst in the flat (that's where the computer / TV / xbox / couches are). There's a couple of couches off to the left there that are not in the photo (you can see them next to my big wooden front door). Oh yeah it also comes with a very impressive fireplace:

We haven't actually made a fire in it yet as we need to get some guy over for it to be cleaned first.. but maybe before the year is over. Who knows. Oh yeah the acute viewer will have noticed my European Championship Golf Trophy on the mantle piece
Well I guess that leaves but one room left...
The Bedroom

the photos really don't do it justice... but that bed is MASSIVE. It's the first real big bed I've ever owned. I'd only had sofa-beds before so when I got to Belgium and was single (at the time) and was shopping for my first real bed... I wanted something impressive. The Hummer of beds, so to speak [although yes I know what they say about hummers.. but this bed wasn't exactly for all to see].
Ok so time to wrap up this long post. Well first of all I don't live here alone, my gf and I both have decent-paying jobs (we're not students anymore and have not been for a while now). Secondly the property market here in Brussels is laughable! Never in Paris could have afforded a place like this.
Finally, yes I call my place "the castle" what with all the wood, big fireplace, fsck-off big wooden doors etc
Anyway if you're traveling through Brussels and need a place to sleep one night or are just up for a beer, send me a mail!
