Don't go to a Nas concert ever...!!!!!

Post by grek » 12 Jun 2007 00:33

Well... idk if you heard about his recent stuff... He was supposed to have a concert in Budapest (Hungary). The organizers have payed him 20000 USD... and instead of the concert he just left with all the money... there were like 3000 people at Events Hall waiting for him... he couldn't even find any good excuses he said the place is too big, and shit like this... wtf????

That was a huge disappointment to me and to the other 3000 people...
And i heard he's done the same in Germany, Spain and Croatia...

I wouldn't write my personal opinion of him here cuz that wouldn'rt be really... hm.. polite....

I hope something bad happens to him, maybe getting pummeled by fans.

I looked into it a little more cause I'm a total Nas stan, and supposedly the stage where they were going to perform wasn't complete, and a bunch of other faulty shit was in place and the contract wasn't negotiated properly.

Not saying who's right or wrong. But I personally take anything an Eastern European rap promoter says with a lot of suspicion.

Never would happen with a metal act. Wanna know why? We have more respect for our fellow peers and fans.

So you looked into it huh? Dude I was there and the stage was complete. There were a couple of hungarian rappers before the "concert" and Nas was supposed to come after them... but instead of that he just left with the money... he wasn't even there in the Events Hall... which is a really well equiped place trust me...

or maybe you won't believe me cuz i am an eastern european... but that doesn't make me less dude... neither the promoters... can you even find europe on a map????

and what about the Germans are they the same as the "eastern europeans"...??????

And before i would forgetit...so far the following rappers came to hungary...: Redman Method Man this year, Inspectah Deck and GhostFace Killah 2 years ago... Delinquent Habits, 50 cent, Eric Sermon, Das EFX... and they all had the best impression of the parties... thats all i remember now...

unlike in the us, american rappers are still very, very huge in these countries as they don't tour that much through smaller countries.
i doubt that there was anything wrong with the stage.
i do know that nas once played for about 7minutes in germany and then left the show although nothing happened. he claimed later on that one of his bouncers (!) was hit by a bottle. nobody saw that, nobody saw ambulance, not to mention that a bouncer is not rapping.

whatever..

Lol, I just know there are two things that Eastern European's and American's have in common, and it's that we're all about that money. I never said you were less or whatever you thought I meant. I'm of Czech/Hungarian descent (But maybe it's my 25% Limey and 100% American that makes me feel superior to you) so I don't think that argument sticks. Paranthese's a joke.
can you even find europe on a map????
I'm pretty sure it's above Africa or Asia.

eye dunno :?

ummm Nas was on top of the R&B/Rap Billboard's for a long time.

Either way, no one know's what happened besides Nas and the promoters. Both of whom are looking out for themselves.

SMH at you guys talking about 'Metal'. Most Metal made after about 1994 has been so influenced by Hip-Hop anyways that it's basically a sub-genre now.

I will not argue with that one bit as I agree wholeheartedly. However, that doesn't make my disdain for rap and my love of metal diminish in the least.
I'm not arguing a point, simply stating my love of metal through and through. :D
I do agree with you though that nobody truly knows except for Nas and those involved and speculation will most likely result in heated debates in which it's possible that nobody is correct.

no, its that the genre of metal brings more respect to the table in my opinion... whens the last time you heard of a metal band singing about their "bitches and ho's"?

This just shows that you don't listen to real metal.

I totally agree with what quadgun said.

In the mid 90's there were lots of 'metal' groups who emerged and blended hip hop into their act. Thus making.. that... a sub-genre... but.. real metal was and still is kicking strong. But honestly....Most if not all of those bands sucked beyond compare....

Man I hate Nü-Metal

Nu-metal blows.

If this were a hardcore show, a bunch of wanna-be tough guys would have started fights and thus making the venue cancel the rest of the show (this happened when we went the see The Acacia Strain and Terror awhile ago, bah!).

Not a big fan of -core bands....Deathcore..metalcore...I like my music to have something to it, ya' know? Don't get me wrong, every now and then a good heaping helping of hot cannibal corpse or bloodbath is good, but these newer bands nowadays really irk me.

i´ve seen nas in germany "back in the days(TM)" it it was crappy performance. either he was completely drunk or on pills. he did not manage to rap a straight line. he had 2 guys on stage with him who rapped his shit. really disappointing.

I'm sorry but that is absolutely hilarious. I mean it must've sucked for you, but still.

I wonder if Nas has something against European's. I've seen Nas twice in Seattle (Not nearly an important city for Hip-Hop) and he tore it down. That coming from someone who doesn't even usually like Rap live, just 'cause Rap as a medium these days is more of a headphones/car thing. I can count on two hands the number of rappers who put on a good live show.

One of those rappers is Atmosphere.

I'm pretty certain it's long been common knowledge that Nas is a shitty showman (even if he isn't already a shitty musician), so why you'd pay to see him in the first place is beyond me. It's not like he's put out a good album in the last 12 years.

and you metal kids can shut the fuck up and suck a fat one. Any time a thread pops up related to hip hop people file in here to leave their air conditioned racist comments about hip hop and how white people do it better and have more respect for their audience and how rap is all about bitches and hoes. shut the fuck up and get out and get some fucking knowledge. No one cares about your boring, sucky ass metal so leave it in your smelly dark bedroom where it belongs and come back with something original to say about hip hop.
