Yea that's crazy they inducted people at euros. I guess there were 10 bap members there or something.

So it looks like Quantum 02's were for sale? Or were they just shown?

That was probably told in a sarcastic way. So tell me, don't you think it's a bit unfair to induct players only at Worlds? For example, this year the Worlds will be in Florida. Almost every player I talked to in Wien said that they won't be able to make it.
So now we have incredible players, who deserve the membership in BAP, but won't get the chance...just because some people think less of Euros? Statements like yours only widen the gap between US and Europe.
If I misunderstood your statement, I apologise...

Worlds haven't been in the US for years now. Don't you think the same is true for US players who couldn't make it to worlds then?

I actually don't know about the bap induction procedures. I'm just responding to your comment. But if the procedure really is that people only get inducted at worlds then you have no reason to think people think less of Euros. If on the other hand you make a thread saying, "Let's induct people at Euros," I'd agree.

Thanks planetfootbag for Q2 - they are awsome! just buy a pair without qustions, I'll defenatly recomend them for shreding! We should support the idea of footbag shoe!

Thanks every single player who shred it up with me! So i was't playing almost alone, as usual :)

Thanks BAP members for chosing me, actualy I did't know about that, till i met a finnish player at the airport. So if i posible, can somebody tell me more, what was happen ther?

Thanks ppls from Slovenia - Ales and Gregor! You both help me a lot to spend the time in Vienna. Love you guys!

I'm sure everybody already knows my stance on BAP (I don't think its good for the sport), but just to add some historical context to this discussion:

1. 3 people were inducted into BAP at CSS2.
2. Genz wasn't inducted into BAP at Worlds... I'm not sure it was even a tournament.
3. Ahren was inducted at 96 Western Regionals.

So there's at least 3 other times in history when people have made BAP without being at worlds

Yes, that is what I meant. When Worlds is in Europe, many ppl from US can't make it (and vice versa). That is why I support the idea of inducting players not only at Worlds.

Well...it was funny actually. It was not long after you left (before the final circle took place) that they announced new BAP members. So it was almost the same as your Shred30, lol. You were the second to be announced. They knew that you left, so everyone just cheered out loud on your behalf. And people also liked your BAP name...I admit it is better than my "Terminator"

I don't wanna hijack this tread cause it's all about euros.

BAP is an invention, I guess. Like everyone one else can create a e.g. 4SP (4squareposse?!). It's totally stupid to argue whether it's correct to elect players to bap or not. is there something like a netposse? whatever.

It's a matter of fact that there are some damn good upcoming players in europe. some of them can't really afford to go to worlds in the us.

now just wait for new updates (results, vids, pics)

Wow! That Vasek semi-final routine was insane! I loved the variety. He always seems to do great in Semi-finals. But I did think his whirrs were the. I can't believe he ended with montage-BS Fission. OMG.
I would like to see his finals routine. Will it be posted soon?

thanks to the organizers for this great event! not that i don't have any criticism, i agree with many points andrew made in the topic he created, but as always i'll only remember the things that made it an extremely fun time.
thanks again to the whole footbag vienna crew for not having slept more than 2 hours a day for making it happen, sincerely!

do not take the shred 30 scores too seriously. it was done at 1am in a club. the stage was dark, light was changing, the light of a video projector was directed in the eyes of the players, the sound of the beatboxers was way too loud, no warm up space, and the floor was a bit slippery. also freestlyers had to compete all day long in a 40 degrees sun (no shade)... sick 3 was also done in the same club..

cod, i guess in english it's "cerberus"

sergey, from what ive heard, they also thought of "wolverine" for you, but then Karim Daouk came up with kalashnikov. anyway, i thought you were really amazing..

three players had mentions : olaf piwowar, marcin bujko (beautiful style!) and jakob wagner.
