New Year's Jam 2008

Post by CIC flurry » 29 Aug 2008 14:12

9th Annual New Year's Jam - December 27-28-29
Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sponsors
KOLO SPORT Team Kolo Shirts || Footbags
Shellsofparadise, Jay Boychuk, Matt Cross, Josh Munstermann, Richard Abshire, Julien Cote, Waylon - Wasabi Bags
Steve Goldberg

Info
Event
Holiday Sports Festival
The event takes place in a big convention center where the auto show takes place every year. The place is packed with every kind of sport out there, and you can try them. Tens of thousands of people come through there.

50+ kickers come from all over North America. We shred, 4 square, try other sports and games, then eat good Chicago pizza and sandwiches, and make up really fun ghetto games like left hand throw and crotch fire, and wander around the dark empty McCormick Center and play footbag golf...
wake up - eat pancakes and repeat.

Competition
Day 1: 2 Square
Day 2: Circle Contest, Request Combo
Day 3: Sick 1/3 hosted by Zac and Matt

Hotel
Hyatt McCormick (312-567-1234) http://mccormickplace.hyatt.com
The hotel is huge and fancy. The convention center where all the sports will be is attached to the hotel. You don't have to drive to the jam. Just wake up and walk on over through the hotel. Mention "Mayor Daley's Holiday Sports Festival" for the discount.

True to New Years Jam tradition, someone else has started the thread. 8)

No worries y'all. NYJ is once again part of Mayor Daley's Holiday Sports festival, which is December 27, 28, and 29. More details to come.

Head's up people, there will be no LaRAZA when NYJ rolls around. Reile has a new place and I'll be moving outta here within a month or two. Please plan accordingly.

Why wouldn't I go to the best event of the year? I mean there really isn't a reason not to go.

I'm so in. If I was anymore in, I'd already be waiting for someone to pick me up at O'Hare.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.
