I think my ankle is pretty much good to go again. I'm able to move it anywhich way.

Next challenge: finding time to play

Thats pretty much when I'll play. I just don't want to wait till then. I feel like I've already started losing my forward momentum of getting better

And so school begins. With the exception of AP spanish V and AP calculus, I think the year won't be too bad.

It sounds like austrians will be coming to my school on the 22nd. The National Honors Society hosts the foreign students every year. And since I'm president of NHS I might have to do a bit more with them. French studentes might also be coming later in the year too.

We won our soccer scrimmage today. I didn't play much first half but I played most of second. I had one good shot on goal, an assist, and a should have been goal kind of thing.

On the actual topic of footbag, I hit more toe barrages yesterday before soccer practice. One of them might have actually been clean. I have no way to tell at this point.

Anyway, have a good day.

Yeah, them europeans seem to be able to hack. We had french kids last year and my one kid, francois, could hack alright.

I play right wing. My coach used to play me on defense, which sucked, cause I'm not so great at it, but now I'm where I'm happy.

messed around a little bit during gym today. and I mean a little. though, I did hit pendulous op rake, which felt kinda badass. And oddly enough, I almost hit pixie whirl. Only tried once though.

I have to get ready now cause the bus leaves for the soccer game today at 3:10.

After watching a bunch of footbag videos, I was fed up with my lack of shred so I did so in a small section of my room. I went into it wanting to hit pdx whirl. I had done some air shredding and it felt like I had the motion. Lo and behold, I managed to hit it strongside quite soonish in my sweatpants. I soon threw on shorts and continued. I came very very close to flipside but no go. I was just happy that the motion no longer seemed very awkward.

After some tiltless stuff I realized that it felt like I was playing a tad differently. Minus being cramped, I felt like I was maybe moving more conservatively. I'm not sure how to describe it, but none the less, I liked it.

I also think I'm finally getting the DLO motion down.

Now here's where old me kicks in  A little after DLO training, I start trying to hit miraging symp mirage. I came close quite a few times but I knew this wasn't a time for that kind of stuff.

Had a ten/fifteen minute session while waiting for dinner.

Mainly messed aroundish.

I hit tap strongside. I'm starting to figure out atomic. I still like leggy atomic better for some moves, like legbeater, atomic clipper, and atomic osis. Normal atomic is fine for tap and atom smasher. Heck I kind of even like leggy atom smasher. Anyway.

Next time I have a real session, I'm going to finally drill basics. Butterflies and osii mainly I think. Once I finally pollish those up, I think my game may be five times better.

Played for a little bit with people in the hour between school and soccer. this one 8th grader called me obsessed lol. If only he knew.

Once everyone left I got to do more tricks and such with the one other kid that I'm teaching. My NHS advisor just happened to be walking by with a group of teachers when I hit DLO>clipper>osis>near legover>ducking mirage>drop on something. She was like "Woww John thats amazing!" I lolled on the inside. She said I should be filmed for stuff like trhe school morning anouncements. I continued to internally lol. I then said as they were almost gone, "I'm on youtube!" and they said something and walked away. Thats what I like to call brownie points.

I also realized at one point that I might be able to start throwing ducking pickups into my strings. I hit it first try today just kind of trying to wow people. I've been able to do them for a while now. I just never really got deep into them. So we shall see what happens.

See ya later

Grrrrrr, I hate my mouse. I just had this whole thing written out and the curser just spazzed as I clicked and hit the exit window button thing. So I guess I'll just summarize what I had.

I've ignored the basics for a long time.
I cracked down on:

Inside stalls (20)
clippers (21)
legovers (20)
consecutive kicks (415)
Osii (5, didn't spend all that much time on them, but this is still an improvement)

I also went at butterflies and pickups. Couldn't do much with either today. I'll do them next session.

I then put everything to the test and went for string length. End result=24 tiltless :) I finally broke the evil 20 contact barrier :D

Overall, the session was fantastic and I regret not doing this earlier. I just have to accept that I did wait and it'll only get better from here

Have a good one

edit: I forgot to mention I worked on the whole breathing thing while playing and all I have to say that it is pretty darn hard to do while trying to count contacts

Had another mini session today after soccer. Didn't really work on anything specific. It was just kind of a mess around to indulge myself session. I can probably start throwing DLOs into strings now. I hit pdx whirl again. So now my goal will be to hit both DLO and pdx whirl flipside next session.

So out of the three goals I posted a little bit back, one is completed, one is null and void cause I only had like one chance to do it and it wasnt a good one, and goal three might occur in the next two months.

Once I start hitting 15+ contact strings more I'll start trying to throw larger stuff into my strings more. I want to start doing this whole footbag thing the right way. Speaking of which, I gotta start doing my challenges. Theres a few there that I just need to dedicate real time to and I should be able to get them.

Well that was my boredom blog for the day, enjoy

So yeah, me and my girlfriend broke up. It was time. Now I'll have more time for footbag

Okay, footbag

I've now had the time to really shred with my friend for the 45 minutes inbetween school and soccer. Today was an oddly decent day.

Highlights:

Smear bsos
Ripwalk bsos
Stepping near legover almost bsos
(yesterday) DATW almost bsos

Both smear and ripwalk are moves that I can get both sides but I could never just get long enough strings to get them bsos. Now that strings are getting longer, it wasn't all that hard to get them bsos (different string for each bsos). I've been wanting to try stepping near legover for a couple days now and I finally did today. Took a few tries to get it, but once I got it strongside I continued the string and dropped on the flipside, but it was close.

Lol yeah, it wasn't muted. No slapping required :)

She was my first girlfriend and we were together one month shy of three years. We seemed to be fighting a lot at the end, so although unfortunate, it seemed to be time.

And don't worry, every dog has his day :!:

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that I was kicking during lunch today and I was able to hit ripwalk with a mr. in pants and unmodded leather nastases. I felt soo cool lol. Almost had it with the crochet bag but the mr. was retrieved from the ceiling light by then. I've also been hitting some sidewalks, ripwalks, and dimwalks in running shoes with the crochet bag I think. But yeah, its most definitely fun trying to hit stuff with random shoes, clothing, and bags.

So my school had our academic awards dinner last night. It was concluded by the induction of the new NHS members. I had to talk the whole time, blah blah blah. it went fine.

So it turned out that I won the science award. The dude who thought he was going to get it got all pissed cause of this. Yeah, I figured he worked harder than I did. He took AP physics online where I took reg physics with a real teacher. So I guess I got the highest average or something out of the science classes. I'm talking to the dude about it today and he starts testing me to see if I knew stuff and such. I didn't. It was some equation that we never covered in our class. I didn't take the class he took. I got the SCIENCE award, not the physics award. grrrrr.

Now I'm off to see my friends marching band perform harry potter
