yo whats up modified, especially you east coast baggers.

if you think you might make it to this shit (im looking up cheap hotel prices by weekend in may right now) start throwing out whatever ideas are in your head for stuff you'll want and/or want to do. post like types of energy drinks/sodas/beers you'll want, or what kind of food you want to get like pizza or what kind of competitions you want to do. its so far off right now i just want to get a feel for what people are into, because believe me, goddammit, this is gonna be the best jam this side of america has seen probably since like forever. we're already thinking of cool shit to do and ways to make it ill. i'll like start posting some general information soon.

i'm very interested in coming to this, just depends on money and how much a trip that way is going to cost.

Bowler,

I'm just stoked that Boston has some shredders up there with enough enthousiasm to organize some sort of event. Its such a worthy city, and I've long lamented the seeming absense of Boston from the East Coast footbag scene. Anyway, I'll be there for sure.

Can we have one o' dem Boston Tea Parties? I've heard they can be pretty wild and fun...

at the jam we will do whatever competitions people want to do. i think were just going to do a 5-10 dollar entrance fee for all competitions. like you give 5 bucks total and you can do as many of the competitions that are being run.

competition forms i want to do (just my opinions, share yer own)

-circle
-sick 3
-maybe big 1 if more than 4 people want to do it
-weird 1
-ten

competition forms we WONT be doing

-stp (whatever the fuck that is)
-shred 30 (unless more than 4 people want to do it and 2 people who know what theyre doing are willing to score it)

if a few people want to do a routine thats fine we can do that too.

everyone that thinks they might make it throw out ideas for what you want to do.

word yo.

I'd like to do routines. The only other event I have much interest in is circle comp. As for beer/food, I'd like to do something that's traditional boston.

Oh, and I'd looooove to go to a Celtics game. But it'll probably be mad expensive to get tickets in May, since those will be playoff games. Anyway, if the jam somehow gets moved up to April, or if somebody wants to splurge with me (Bob?), then that's one more thing I'd like to do in Bostown.

Yo, I'm not interested in any comps at all, I just want to shred. But I'm an old fogie so my opinion shouldn't count a lot.

As long as you have a good venue everyone will have fun. Everything else is "nice to have" but my enjoyment comes from having a nice place to play with a lot of other players. (i.e. all frills and shitty venue = not worth it.. no frills and great venue = great... all frills and great venue = even greater)

Mother's day is Sunday May 10th.

Don't change your date for me though, if everyone loves this date, do it. I'll just catch up with you separately a different weekend.

I plan to be there whatever, . I also plan to be married by then. WOO HOO.

My dilly is that we should have some official stuff on sunday, because I may not be able to do saturday as it is the Sabbath. But I will try to find a place to stay that is walking distance both to your event and a synogogue.

Well done with the motivation..
Now lets land this puppy.

Ok so at this point the jam is slated for the last weekend in April. I called the boston parks dept. and found out what i have to do to reserve the section of the park i want to, that should be no problem. I have a indoor backup spot confirmed for saturday already, and sunday we'll probably be playing at either Northeastern Univ. or MASSART, and i have tentative indoor and outdoor locations for either one. MASSART has a big, active video dept, one section of which focuses on sports videos, and they have already expressed interest in shooting, etc.

Information I Need, Bitches:

If you're a member of the BSC, please post how many footbaggers you would be able to let crash at your various places of residence. (i can let at least 3 people crash at my place, but theres no smoking or drinking, so anyone that wants to have a quiet place to go at the end of the day and probably like eat some breakfast in the morning should say whats up to me)

everyone post confirmations in this thread as usual as soon as youre sure youre coming.

what competitions you want want to do.
