He guys. I'm in Chicago until Sat. Unfortunately I don't have my footbag stuff with me. But I'd like to meet with any Chicago Footbag players for a drink or so. Best way would be to send me an email: mjaeger [at] rena-print.com

A kid I work with couldn't work Sunday, so I switched with him. So now I'm working Sunday instead of Saturday, and my parents are letting me go downtown (but only downtown. They didn't want me jumping in someone's car and going down to Northeastern.) So pm me or whatever like as soon as plans are set.

I've finished all of my challenges cept one which I started and tried in 2 sessions. It's gotten better, but I want to move on and get some more challenges, and i want to make this vid with all the ones I already did. I'll give it one more go tomorrow.

With the help of Emily I sent requests for prizes to stitchers for NYJ. Yes Firefox, add NYJ to the dictionary. Bitch ass fox, you shoulda known by now, EZ does it.

Yesterday hit spender again (spinning blender). Also hit tim's drill but on replay didn't like the 2nd dex on the flurry so i'll redo it.
Today hit DOD>pogo legover BS = progress. Also fun is spinning knee bump>something.

I have some recent pics. Click the collage to go to the album.

So I stepped out of your car, and my dad was like "you didn't take a taxi. you lied," to which I replied "oops." And that was that. All that bullshit and it was dropped like instantanously.

I finally got around to putting that challenge vid together. I did want to hit the last challenge, but winter came and I wasn't playing so much, specially solo. No editing on the vid, just the challenges back to back.

Awesome work on the challenges, Tom. I think my favorite was toe dirfter>dbl legover>flail>rpt. I also liked how you sealed most runs with a jesterish gesture.

Anywho, thanx a lot to you and the rest of CIC for the cheap crash space. You guys are a lot of fun. Hopefully next time you can introduce me to this crotchfire game....

I was just looking at some pics of last year's New Year's Jam, and I realized how good it was. Getting to know Zac, Cody and Grant and then us all eating at Chicago's. Holly and Bri and Cody B and other tennesseeanand Dat @ sushi was great. Zoo lights, snow balls and lincoln lodge with Mike, Em, Jerm, Fletch, Mathieu. Net in the snow! Cody using the tied together sheets to retrieve his footbag from the high window sill. All of the antics and personal connection I have with people are the best @ NYJ. And in 2006 - hanging with Ianek and montreal going to Villa, and to cubby bear. I know i keep mentioning food places and the dates when NYJ is not actually happening, but those are my fondest. This is just stuff from the top of my head.

In 2005 on the way back from WV Jam 2, Zeke, Reile and I were talking about how NYJ is awesome, but how there are so many flaws, and we set out to fix them... and for so long we were pissed that people were flying over us to get to events, and we wanted them to come here. The suite, flying people out, picking people up, getting prizes, getting dinner together so people could easily eat and try one of our favorite parts of chicago, making events and prizes free, mad organization, transportation and hype and invitations.

I feel like this has come to an end of sorts. Zeke is already done, Reile was down, but wasn't feelin it much, and as of this year, I'm done organizing for the most part. I'd like to think that NYJ 2005-2007 was CIC's NYJ, and they were the best. I'm only speaking for myself here, and who the eff knows how I'll feel in a year. And it could be a one year fluke that's getting all up in my grill sideways.

*Of course NYJ is still happening next year, and the place itself and all the people is all you really need to enjoy it, you may not miss anything.

Everything I've contributed will still carry on to an extent. And I'll still prolly have a hand in organizing, but I don't want to do much at the event itself. Probably try and secure the night shred spot only. But events and food and prizes and transport are no-go. Pretty much I don't enjoy asking people if they want to compete and if they want to eat and I sure as hell hate asking for money for food or the hotel. Food wise, if ur down with me, we'll still go to dope ass places, but on a much more personal level. Though I do enjoy the personal time I get with picking up people from the airport, it's too much stress to organize all the pickups, especially when there's an easy alternative to get to the hotel. And for me it's the suite or the night shred spot. I'm not getting a suite next year, cuz i can't stand certain people (though he was trying to be nice and i appreciate that) and doors remaining unlocked with all my stuff in there. I think the night spot will be fine for everyone to congregate, and without food to organize for everyone, the suite isn't that necessary.

And if after chinatown I want to go kick (b/c I haven't all weekend) under the threat of being followed and kicking out by security, I don't want to be the leader who gets his plan foiled, rather than the suggester and his elite cohorts getting kicked out together.

#######################################
Though too short, this year had great moments though! And here are some things:

I was pleasantly surprised to see that a lot of people got to explore chicago. Ken and Age and all of Montreal saw some chicago. I really like Ken and I really like Adrienne.

Nathan's write up is epicly awesome. Danny is very funny. I love hanging with Hen and Zach and CIC and Em and Mike. Monkey bag may be my highlight. Ianek's help was great. Waylon is awesome. Sitting in the kitchen. Kamil being there so much was great. Driving with Emily. Emily's help b4 the event. and Reid! Oh and flashlight on ceiling :-D

I want to kick with Ken and Em next year.

not that i know what organizing an event is like, but i totally see what you're talking about. By organizing EVERYTHING you don't get to enjoy the event. it makes you everyone's bitch.
