This is my new bombbag! I got to play with it for a little bit cause we did nothing in gym. I also tried to hit blurriest at the end of gym and before soccer cause i was being me. had some oddly decent attempts. But I'm not gunna hit it any time soon. I'm still too slow :). I just wanna have a real sessionnn, so i can actually practice instead of d'ing around.

And this is also my blogs 100th post :!: :!:  :!:

I took a picture of my bag collection on my phone and sent it to my email but it hasnt arrived yet.

Edit: the email eventually arrived

Back row is two mr.'s, and two crochets. Front row (from the left) is a Spaz bag ( which unfortunately is not highly visable), a josh raye, a bomb bag, a retired fearless 55, and a MC bag

Alright so I got to play today before I visited tcnj. Tried to drill and such. Had success, didnt have success. The usual. I guess there was more success than not.

While I feel like I'm starting to gain the upperhand in my never ending struggle with infinities, I still could't breach 6 today. I guess it'll come with time. I didn't have much time today so thats really the main thing I did. I also tried to work on stringing sets a bit. Mild success as usual.

Only two days of soccer left!

So today during gym, i decided to give far symp rev whirls a go. After several tries of almost hitting it I decided to try the raking version. After several attempts, i was able to hit far symp rev whirling rake :D

I played just a tad during gym today. Up until that period I was contemplating on how to hit torque  I've been trying pure downtime torques and those haven't been working (duh), so I tried I guess a midtime torque. Sure enough, I hit it 5th try. Almost on flipside too. I'm sure I'll get it flipside next time I play.

Also today during english, we had to write a college essay writing prompt thing. And the topic was "talk about a person or experience that has impacted your life." So sure enough, I talked about footbag since I figured I wouldn't get to do that in a real college essay I thought it went pretty well.

Those are my foot bagventures of the day

Didn't have school today so I played for two hours. It started off as a drilling session but it slowly made its way to a have fun session. And although I said I would, I did not hit flip torque. By the time I got to trying them, I was too tired

Highlights:

DSO
Legbeater on oneside
Footed tripwalk the other side
More drifters
more swirls

I think I'm quickly getting back into bad mode. Must drill :!:

Played for another two hours today

Highlights:

Far symp rev whirl bs
Ducking ps mirage
flip ducking symp mirage
flip ps mirage

It was a fun day. I also believe that between yesterday and today I've improved my whirls a bit. I hope I did at least

Here's a high speed camera phone video of one of the far symp rev whirls. Unfortunately, its much darker on the computer than it is on the phone. You can barely see anything lol

Edit: if you put the brightness all the way up on your computer you can see it lol

Here's another high frame rate video taken on my phone. Its been chillaxing there for a while, never knew how to take away me preparing to drop the bag on my foot in slow motion.
Obviously the lighting is much better due to the fact that I'm outside

So as a fundraiser for my marching band we're holding a "coffee house" night this friday. It'll have a bunch of performers and such. I originally wanted to do it but decided against it due to lack of time to practice and make a routine for it. But today my band teacher came up to me and kind of pushed me into doing it. So i just tried practicing a bit and I finally found a 2 minute song that might work. We shall see what happens!

So the song I'm doing is Get Rhythm by Johnny Cash. It'll be fun. Practiced it today. I think I made a good amount of progress. When I did a final runthrough, it had much much less drops than my last performance. So if I can get one more time of practice somehow, I should be good. Hopefully I'll get someone to record it so I can put it up here or something

So the performance was last night. I got to practice the routine for a second time for 40 minutes during the afternoon. I go get my self a 5 hour energy shot to recover from practicing. I get to my school early and I start to warm up and such. I'm feeling good I stay warm most of the time until I go on around 8:45/ 9ish. I go up there, and WAM I suck balls. I didn't get to do a lot of things I wanted to do, I dropped on the easiest stuff, the stage was uber slippery. It was not a good situation. I guess it was technically better than my last performance. It did have "less" drops.

One thing I hated the most about it was my nerves. When I was little, I loved getting up in front of people and doing stuff. I always loved to read in church, etc. These days, not so much. This time, I even figured I wouldn't do horribly.

At least I switched bags after a drop so some of them didnt look too bad

I haven't decided yetwhether or not I'll put the video up

Alright I uploaded it.

Note to self: make routine months in advance for any kind of performance instead of getting to practice it twice the week of the performance
