tom's shred 2009.04.23.

Post by ptshredder » 23 Apr 2009 08:58

Hello everybody!

I had a 1.5 hours session today and my friend Agi filmed it. It doesn't contain lot of tricks, and these days I practice whirls a lot because I think I start feeling it just now. Anyway I like whirls. :D
I know my game is not well controlled but I'm very tired because I played almost every day 2-4 hours the past 5 weeks and I have to practice more clippers and tiltless. The video editing is not so good I'm not good at it.
So hope you like it and of course comments will be appreciated.
ohh and also know i did too many toe stall because of tiredness (i think)

Good stuff. That's great that you're playing so much - this is the most important thing for progress in footbag :)

Your form looks good and solid in most parts. Probably the thing that stood out most for me is your need to drill your clippers - they are sometimes good but inconsistent. The surface isn't always flat, but you obviously can get it fairly flat sometimes. I'd suggest a drill similar to what you do towards the end - osis>ss clip>repeat - as many contacts as you can get.

The other thing is that you're sometimes off balance on your harder clipper moves. Try to focus on getting the dexes earlier (but they don't need to be faster) and then finishing with a relaxed and solid clipper.

I understand, as you say, that you were pretty tired when you were playing, and this probably contributed to the issues I'm talking about. However I like to have long hard sessions and then spend the end of the session when I'm most exhausted working on form, so even if the tiredness was the most significant factor, I still think it's a good idea to work on these things when you're tired.

Anyway great job - you're building a strong foundation and have a good looking game.

Keep it up!

Your fun to watch because it looks like your really enjoying yourself and pushing yourself too. I liked your bothsidedness. (Don't build a strong side)

My Grandmas name is Agi, she is from Hungary too
First think about how to practice or don't bother practicing.

Jeremy: agreed, I know I have to practice more clippers, this is what I do now: clipper>ss clipper>op clipper>ss clipper>op clipper>etc. and clipper>op clipper>osis>op clipper>op clipper>osis>rpt. and what u see at the end of the video also clipper osis thing.
I like have to a long sessions too, and when Im tired i practice some legovers, atws its kinda "cool down" (i dont know the world) and practice the consecutive inside kicks. I found if I hit a new trick I need few months till I can hit it easily, and I really feel the motion. for example (I hope) my whirls gonna be better and more controlled after 1-3 months.
And I noticed I did TOO MANY simple toe stall I dont know why but sometimes the camera annoying me or I just dont have enough routine.

John: Yes, I DO REALLY LIKE PLAYING!!! :D:D:D
thats all.
I know I will not be the best player, but I dont care, I just like to hitting a move, more like hitting a bigger move so I pushing myself, and I really enjoy it. The one thing what ail me I would have to started playing earlier. But I cant go back in the timeline so I keep playing now and try to become better and better
What do u mean "dont build a strong side"??
ohh, I welcome your granny, what a small world. :D

Anyway guys, thanks for the advices and the comments, I make an other video in a month.
