ON BOOKFACE

Mappy!

"Invitational" means anyone that hears about this, ever. The more ass kicking involved, the better.

Hosted by the Kingston Footbag Militia:

Greg Raymond
Dante Diotallevi
John Bagi
Derrick Ogden
Josh Audet-Smith
Emily Liu
Tom Mosher

Date: September 25 - 26

We have plenty of crash space available. Presently we have two houses for crashing, mine & Dante's. I will add to this list as I confirm further crash sites.

We will have indoor playing facilities on Queens Campus, & outdoor shred areas on campus & downtown if the weather is nice.

We will do Circle & Request, because they are bad ass. Maybe more if there is interest & judging to support them.

Schedules will be set as we go forward, the general idea is:

Friday night shred & chill, for any folks arriving early. There is a slick pub across the street from my place with live music every night, & we have turntables at my place along with an outstanding record collection, maybe even a little jam session could happen.

Saturday morning: Breakfast @ the Wolfe Island Bakery around 10am. Then we can head over to the event site for around noon. Circle Comp & Request Contest during the afternoon. Casual shred & clean up in the gym by 6pm, then dinner & drinks. Head back to 366 Alfred to party.

Sunday: Late breakfast & Casual Shred ALL DAY. Possible workshops & tutorials. If the weather is nice, we will throw down for the public eye. Teary-eyed hugs & goodbyes, declaration of shred vendettas, mad sharing of props & promises of future mutual endeavours.

I will probably be there.

I would prefer free crash space at anyone place instead of motel. Cheaper :).

For the comp, i can help to judge/organize if needed.

No way anyone's staying at a motel haha I've got crash space for up to 6 people, first 2 get couches, rest bring sleeping bags! :P And shredding on campus at Queen's friggin' rocks, so many people walking around, we get lots of attention! Also playing down by city hall is great on a sunny day!

Wicked! Yes, the motel idea is a last resort considering that we should have ample crash space for upwards of 20 people or maybe more. Sleeping bags are a must, but there are couches & floor space in my house as well as Dante's.

Hell yeah I'd love to make it out to this, so long as my workload isn't too heavy at the time.

Also, off-topic but will any of you guys be around between August 26-Sept 2? If so I'll be in Rochester so we should try and get in a session.

I'll probably come, depending on work scheduling and whatnot. I don't have a job yet, so I have no idea at this point. Chances are much higher if Torontonians are driving again :p

This is so cool to see Greg and Dante bringing back KICKASS.

No way I could make this (tickets are like $800+ and I have something going on that weekend). But have fun! Hopefully Kingston can return to awesome shredness. And seriously, y'all need to watch out because Dante is super good and will likely be a contender in the next year or two.

I think it'd be nice to host some sort of official crank ceremony, using perhaps a vice, and a tri-axis protractor to get the exact angle of Greg's crank.

Thoughts? We could have soothing music, and free peaches.

HYPE!!! haha

I am getting REALLY excited about returning to Kingston for a footbag event of all things!

I'd love to contribute and help as much as possible! Hmm, is that the controlling side of me wanting to help make sure the KICKASS ship get's sailed safely? No, I trust Greg Raymond and his vision!

Though FWIW, why not get a room in that fancy new ARC instead of a stuffy room in the JDUC?

Thanks for keeping the KFM alive! I love you guys! Even the ones I don't know yet! :D

Yessss!

Congratulations Mathieu! Best of luck with your family.

Work in those new toes quick with the patented Boychuk Toe Boxing Hamster. Prototype models available at KICKASS*!

Tom, your input will be invaluable in this process for sure. The two locations we have been reviewing are either the JDUC or the ARC. The ARC is nicer, but the rental rates are hourly. We will try to find a way to make the ARC work out though, it is a very nice facility.

*prototype models do not exist, except in our hearts & minds.
