David Clavens - Autumn - 12.11.10 - 9PM PST - Released!

To the footbag community,

A few months ago I posted that I wanted to try a more filtered approach to releasing footage. This video is that idea made reality. Across multiple sessions during the past few months I would film, capture, and then only keep what I thought was worth putting online. I had about 40 minutes of good footage which has been stripped down to the 8 or so you are about to download.

Those who know me personally can attest that I am never satisfied, but I do feel that this video will be a valuable addition to the catalog of footbag videos that top players have released over the years. With work and other hobbies I cannot play as much as I used to, but I still think this is some of the best footage I have ever released.

I feel that a video like this should be viewed by as many people as possible, and for that reason I have chosen to make it a donation rather than selling it. Between filming, capturing, and editing I have easily sunk more than 25 hours into this project. I would greatly appreciate any form of feedback whether monetary or just a comment in this thread. If you do choose to donate, you can paypal funds to davidclavens at gmail.com. PM me if this method does not fit your needs. I can assure you in some way your donation will help future projects and future travel for footbag.

To conclude, there are many people besides myself that have led to this video and to my skill with a footbag. Some are mentioned at the end of the video, but if in my haste to release this footage I have forgotten you – I am sorry. I appreciate everyone in footbag and have much respect for anyone who plays this game. I am proud to speak this universal language we have written with a blur of legs and a couple pieces of fabric.

Thank you for reading and watching,

David Clavens

Note: I did not want to limit the places that people could watch this, so I uploaded it to many sources. Youtube is up in HD and widescreen, but no direct download. The video can be watched and downloaded from Vimeo, but it is not widescreen. If you have any problems getting the video please respond here.

This can and likely will rock socks off.

I will begin jumping up and down in the meantime, and Matthieu, you could do the same.

Ugh. I am seriously considering postponing a date tonight so I can geek out in front of my computer screen.

I can already feel myself exclaiming "DAT CALFS!"
