Yeah, most def. can hang with Ken and Cleaver. It'll be fun, in and outside of footbag.

I second the motion for a party at my place

Anyone (anyone) who needs crash space between the 26th and 30th is welcome to stay at my place. We fit eleven in there during NYFA jam 2011 (that's what she said)

Note: I have a kitty. Just bragging, really, but anyone who's allergic might be interested.

I hope we can make this a NYFAntastic week! (groan)

We should try to book the space early so we don't have any conflicts. I say we get at least 3 hours on both days, maybe 4 on one of them. Just so everyone knows, we will most likely be renting a dance studio, its not expensive but everyone will have to chip in around 10 bucks.

I can be there on the 29th. And I'm down to fork out some cash for a sick indoor spot.

well, I don't know how "sick" the indoor spot is, but it's functional at least! If we get a bunch of people it'lll probably be pretty cheap. :)And possibly crowded :(

Ken and I are trying to hammer down the times and dates that he'll be in town and shredding, so stay tuned!

Looking almost certain the dates will be the 27th and 29th, likely from 7 pm to 10 pm. Decent chance we'll make the time of one of the sessions earlier.

Excited to see people soon! I'll bring my camera and try and capture some of what goes down. Maybe I can get Clavens to film some Waylon combos.

Still hammering down a location, but at this point it looks certain that we can get space on the 27th and 29th, from 7-10 pm, likely somewhere in the Village. I'll post here when we get a confirmed location, but just wanted people to know the dates are locked in.

Stoked to see everybody in a week!

EDIT: The 29th is locked, 7pm to 10pm at the PMT dance studios at 69 West 14th street

Dates are confirmed and locked down.
The 27th and 29th,7pm to 10pm at the PMT dance studios at 69 West 14th street

Everybody will need to kick in a few bucks, but it won't be much. It's a pretty huge space too, so I think it'll be great! Hope people can make it.

are more people planning on doing the 27th or the 29th - I can come out for one day and I just want to make sure I'm there when most are.

Also, are the floors really slippery? I only want to bring one pair of shoes.

Thanks in advance,

David

Not sure which days will have more people. I think Waylon is going to NYJ, so he'll only be there the 27th. I think Pipenberg and (maybe) Polini would only be up on the 29th, but no official confirm from anybody yet. I know we didn't get the dance studio we normally play at, so can't comment on slipperiness. From my experience in studios in NYC though, I'm bringing my shoes with the best tread, just in case.

I can make it to the city either day, and will try to make both, but I can't stay for too long because of some work I need to get done.

David, any chance I can catch a ride with you on whatever day you decide to go?

Hi Tristan,

I would be taking a bus to the city and thus, would have no ability to pick people up on the way. Apologies.

Tristan, David (Clavens) is coming by bus- but boats (Dave Beyers) may still be able to give you a ride

Edit: Kevin, I hope to be able to play on the 30th, if you're still down...sorry it took me so long to post that, I thought I'd be busy with family stuff that weekend but my schedule just changed!

Cleaver, I haven't played in this studio since they changed management, but I'd assume that the floors are semi-slippery. They don't have a shoe policy like most dance studios do, which means that the floors are probably a little rougher than most.

Word... I think I'll just stick to communication via phone/text from now on.

This week looks to be real fun! Can't wait!
