Hey, I think I might try and make it down around the 29th. Not sure what day I'd come down exactly but would someone be able to supply me with floorspace between 28-30? I'd prolly only stay over one night, just not sure which night. Any takers?

Haha, I'm actually coming from Rochester NY but I'll text him to get his ass there.... even though he probably wont... We can just buy some SWEETS magazines and pretend he's there with us.

Stoked to be seeing this jam turning into a success. It's a shame I won't be in NYC on the evening of the 29th, since I have to catch my flight to Chicago in the afternoon. I'll make it tomorrow evening and have fun with whoever shows up. I haven't played in nearly a month so I'm out of practice, but I's gonnza has the fun. :v

session #1 went well, the floors were good (not slippery), the sound system is much better than our usual spot, and there was space for everyone to play...though we may be a bit crowded on Thursday, so everyone should try and lose a lot of weight before then, thanks in advance

Players(in order of appearance)

Drew Martin
Me
Dave Beyers
Mathieu GM
Marc-Andre (Mathieu's friend from Montreal)
Waylon
Ken Somolinos
Matt Kemmer
Jon Schneider
Barrett (not playing, but holding down the bleacher seats efficiently)

Ken hit Big Apple to open and close the session (more or less), so everything was in accordance with local and state laws. Beyers re-injured his ankle but other than that it was incident-free.

I am looking forward to tomorrow. Thank you for organizing, renting the space, etc. I am a bit out of practice but I doubt that will make much of a dent in the fun.

If anyone needs to get in touch with me, you can drop me a line on facebook. I'll check it throughout the day while I am working at the Google NYC office.

Thanks!

So funny story, and by funny I mean depressing.

So my sister was home for the past week or so from where she lives now in Mexico City and she flew in from and is going to fly out of NYC. So today, early in the am, my dad took my sister up to NYC while I stayed at home because I was scheduled to work. Lo and behold, when I got to work I found that there was nothing to be done, so I was sent back immediately. What's more, I could have easily gotten a ride from Polini to meet up with Goode to take a train into NYC but alas, here I am home alone in PA with nothing to do and no means of transportation to get anywhere, despite having two rides basically lined up for me. I decided not to "call out" of work because I desperately needed the money, but there was no work to be done...

so now I'M MISSING NYFA JAM FOR NO REASON  :x :x  :x

This sucks.

Have a great time everyone, really wish I could be there.

Edit: Right after I made this post I mapped out an 8-hour journey comprised of a bus and three trains to get to NYC. Only caught the tail end of the massive session on Thursday, but had a great time with everyone and had a great session today (Friday) :P

Thanks for coming, everyone! The turnout was great, especially on Thursday...I think we had over twenty players!

Hopefully we'll throw another jam when the weather gets warmer!

Happy New Year, footbaggers!
