If some you friends were holding hands during a movie would you automatically think they were going out?
I ask because this has recently happened to me and now all my friends think me and this girl I know are going out.
What are your thoughts on the situation?

You should clerify, you asked two questions.
1. Does holding hands mean that you are dating?
and
2. If two people were holding hands in a movie would you automatically think they were going out?
1. No it doesn't.
2. yes I would automatically think that.

my instinctive reaction to this question was "hell yeah"
unless your like really really close and even if then, you shouldnt be holding hands if you dont want ppl to assume your going out .. anyways thats my thoughts. peace

I couldn't resist - I've never heard of someone worring about this problem before.
The only reason I have a problem is because my friends are really giving me a hard time about it. Usually I wouldn't care but this time I do care for some reason.

holding hands doesnt mean youre going out -- obviously, since you arent going out. i would assume two people are dating, though, if i saw them holding hands. holding hands is rad. and cute. i strongly recommend it.
ive held hands before with a friend that i wasnt going out with.

Ya Damon I do like the girl. The reason I think it bugs me is that I've held hands/massaged the feet of the friends that are bugging me about it so it seems like a total double standard. Note: Almost all of me friends are girls.

Kid's a playah!
Newsflash bro, they're probably giving you a hard time about it because they're jealous. The end.
Peace.

If i went out with everyone i held hands with i'd be the mackiest mac ever.
Edit: if you like the girl dont stop at holding hands. Be forward with her and tell your friends yea i like her and u just wish it was u... holding my .... hand r somethin i dont see holding hands as a big thing i find holding hands w/ girls i like even if i have like no chance in hell with them if they're my friends. so ROCK ON HAND HOLDING!!! Just dont have unprotected hand sex.
