Post by skoxn » 30 Mar 2006 06:05

can someone please explain, what exactly this is??

i´ve seen it first on gfo 05 in berlin and some days ago, jorden did it in his last video.

i don´t get the technique, it´s something like an inside set stall-thingy...?!

I think monster is just a spinning inside stall. But I could be wrong. There are a lot of Jorden's tricks that are "monster variations" and that end with a spinning inside such as symposium swirling spinning inside. Now maybe monster is all of this or just the end bit of the move. i'm not sure, but my bet goes on spinning inside stall.

Monster stall was invented by Kenny Shults. It's an inside surface delay in a forward position with the upper body twisted away from the footbag, looking over the same shoulder relative to the stalling foot. Some might consider this the 'double cross-body position'.

Requires good flexibility and coordination.

So is that like a reverse osis sorta thing? Does the twisted upper body imply an osis-esque spin? How would you write Job's for it? When I added this thread to the 'master list' post I described it as gyro inside...is that close?

Monster is the trick in the first couple seconds of this video (after the clipper and before the swirly mess-up thing  ).

There is no scooping motion. That's a different trick. :)

There are two ways you could think of it:

1) a frigidosis wrapped around the support leg

2) a backspinning inside stall with zero upper body movement

so monster is like a clipper but in front of your support leg? Would you set your body into a clipper position then catch the delay in front of your support leg?
