Great media coverage! I'm not too sure about the opening introduction, but everything else was very clear cut. His routine was really awesome to watch. :)

Yeah, I don't feel so bad knowing that he's out there playing 8 hours a day. At that point, I don't think I'd enjoy playing footbag anymore: it'd be a job.

The intro was pretty cheesy/ bad acting, but I liked the interview a lot. I hadn't ever heard him speak either.

Kinda sad how big of applause he got for catching the footbag in his elbow though.

Wow, way to have the worst acting I've ever seen. "WAH!!!"

Aww, I always pictured Vasek with a badass American accent, oh well, all our dreams can't come true :x

Oh, and does anybody else think that the Golden Age of Vasek is over? His style of play seems to have lost some flow....I don't like it as much now. In 2002 I think he was at the top of his game, style wise.

That was the best footbag anything I've seen not done by a footbagger. True representation of footbag, it was good. The filming wasn't just ankles and below either. The openning looked like it was meant to be cheesy.

As for the elbow, I don't think the people were like "Yay, elbow." It was more like the applause when you look up to the crowd after hitting a string or something.

Excuse me Matt, but that was some of the dumbest shit i ever read in here,
and there's plenty of dumb stuff going on in this forum !

The comment about his accent is just so off - what do you think,
he is from Prague, Czech Republic, not from Prague in Texas for crying out
loud ! But maby that was supposed to be funny and just failed miserably...

But the second comment is just unforgivable . What do you know about
footbag Matt ? Have you ever played with Vasek ? How long do you guys
know each other ?
In most of your recent posts you showed a disturbing appetite to appear
all tried and true, taking place in discussions that are for big boys only -
talking about surging and stuff like that, i bet you havent hit 2 consecutive
ripwalks yet .

Stop trying to be smart, become a bad ass shredder and come to Europe.
Shred with Vasek on several tournaments and then enlighten the footbag
world with your comments .

I got nothing against you personally, if you like the older vids more,
thats fine of course, but you should gain heaps more of experience
before talking all that shred symposium stuff  about pixie torque
screws and other peoples styles .

I think he's got more skill than he did in 2002, but his routines and shred 30 seem more about hitting everything bsos and then then moving onto the next trick. That's not really his fault though in shred 30, since that's how you win. Similarly, I think a lot of judges look for overall ability in a variety of move sets (though I could be wrong). If you want style, you have to watch non-competition stuff really. I'd recommend the Vasek a Paris sequence.

Geez...well, for the first one, I don't picture people with accents based on where they're from...more of what they look like actually.

And about your second comment, I believe I am entitled to my own opinion. I merely said I liked his style better back in 2002, I didn't say that he was better back then, or that he sucked now.

And about what I was saying for surging last week, I said the only person I saw surge midstring was Jorden. I did not say "Jorden is the only person ever ever ever to do a surging trick midstring." My word is not fact, don't act like I'm the only person to make a mistake.

But for the thing about Honza's Pixie Miraging Blender (boy that's a mouthful), I agree that I sounded cocky, but watching him do it about 50 times gave me more confidence than I should have had.

Thankyou very much sir, but.....how can an opinion be incorrect? That's what an opinion is, a person's own thoughts. It's neither right nor wrong.

That was SIC! What was with the intervier girl's shirt though? I thought that seemed a lil out of place :?

That was really good coverage though!! If the intro is that lame, then I doubt they get many viewers, but the whole scoop on Footbag was there! Great footage to have on TV! I'm sure that at least one kid saw that on TV and he was like "wow! I'm gunna try that" and he'll be posting on these forms with us in no time... SUPER-cool!!!

keep it real

for me this vid was nice, it brought back the memories of anic event. i was sitting right beside the guy who filmed this, so i saw it from exact this angle. all he said was kinda sweet, i like how he is like groundbounded with all he achived and how he talkes about pressure and stuff... he´s the f###ing man man.... he is the champ and will be that for at least 6 weeks more. i can totally understand him, i used too be the best at something too, even if i wasnt world champ, but also the pressure was intense, and everyone will watch him at euros and cryticise him if he ever does a single mistake whatsoever........ man..... id ont know, i´m too drunk now, but dudes, all bow down too this man...... he isda best out there.... is aw him warming up .... with shit i couldnt do in my best run of the year.... nuf said... going oo bed
