Internet buddy, MSU dorms, a birthday, Spiderman 3.

Post by Switch Kicker » 23 Apr 2007 09:51

So, I play Halo 2 on XBox Live from time to time, and a recently new guy on my friends list turns out to be from Mankato, Minnesota. That's a 40 minute drive from where I live. Well, normally, I don't choose to meet people in real life that I've met over the internet, unless they shred  . However, my monthly Gaurd drill weekend is always in Mankato, and he's going to college as the MSU dorms, the same ones that my buddy PVT Nervig goes to, and I always stay at his dorm on Saturday night so I don't have to drive 40 minutes home, go to bed, and be back to the armory by 7am the next morning... lol.

So now, my circle of friends are takin' two cars up Saturday evening, and me and a few guys from the Armory are gonna meet Patrick (The internet buddy), and then all 20-25 of us are going to Spiderman 3. Oh yeah, that'll be fun.

Oh, and the birthday's mine.

But yeah, this topic's more or less about Spiderman 3. Who's all goin' to that? I'm gonna see it 2-3 times for sure. Even if it sucks. (Which it won't... it can't possibly suck, it's Spiderman... three.)

Edit: I'm speaking, of course, about the next weekend, not this upcoming one. Cause Spidey 3 don't come til then.

Goblin 2, Sandman, black costume, engagement. Seems way too crowded, but still looking forward to it.

Even if the story somehow isn't very good (highly doubt that), it will still be some of the best eye candy $7 can buy.

spiderman is lame. because of that toby fellow. he has horrible facial expressions. you know how sometimes you watch a movie and you get all warm in the face and embarrassed for bad actors? thats how i feel about the toby guy. i watched the first one. hated it. watched sea biscuit. hated it. and refuse to watch anything else with him in it. i like a lot of horrible movies, but this isnt one of them.

Heh. I totally know what you mean. The feeling embarrassed for a bad actor, lol. Though I don't share the same view for Toby. But I know what you mean, ha ha.

I hate it when movies do that to me. Happened when Leonidis cracked that really really lame joke in "300" about how it was going to be hard to kneel with a bad knee from messin' up his army. I felt embarrassed watching that. Good movie still though.

I think Toby has been a pretty good spiderman. Remember that Peter Parker is a socially inept nerd, and that you're supposed to be embarrassed for him.

I liked Wonderboys a lot too, although I have no strong memory of his performance particularly.
