Jeremy, you say that war is fought by people who deem themselves different from their opponents (roughly). If we eliminated religion, we would have less wars. Would you be in favor of eliminating racial and national diversity as well? We could scientifically abolish racial diversity with some kind ...

It shouldn't cause brain damage because you need to deplete the brain of oxygen for 5-7 minutes or so in order to suffer brain damage. The interruptions in sleep should affect your concentration but I don't think it leads to any long-term brain damage.Benzilla wrote:can Sleep Apnea cause brain damage?

Yup, Joe has a good point about college. Hey, it's ROY, not Joe  read the sig! Uh, I didn't quote you...I quoted the person who posted above my post saying that you'd be stuck in a single career... Actually, psychology courses are pretty awesome. I've taken Psych100 at so far and it was a rea...

I'm in a class that deals with both nuclear weapons and terrorism and my professor has a long list of credentials (he advises Congress on various topics involved with nuclear weapons and terrorism). According to my professor, it cannot be considered terrorism unless there is violence or a threat of ...

Yup, Joe has a good point about college. You'll get to experience a variety of classes through Gen Eds and you're not screwed if you decide what you're currently studying is not for you. So, in my opinion, the Gen Ed classes you have to take are actually pretty enjoyable and more often than not, an ...

There is no such thing as the best major. Don't listen to anyone who says there is. Pick whatever you enjoy studying and you will naturally do well in it. Don't pick a major because people tell you it's easy or interesting; that's a dumb thing to do. Everyone has a different view on what's interesti...

I just got a Fender strat for my birthday: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fender-American-Deluxe-Ash-Stratocaster-Electric-Guitar?sku=511143 It plays better than any guitar I've ever had the chance to play (although, I've never tried out a Gibson). But yea, I really like this strat and it pl...

As Jim mentioned, there are ratings given to discs which basically give away what flight pattern they take. The Beast, which is a +2, fades quite a bit to the left so you have to release in a slightly anhyzer manner (which means that the outer edge of the disc is tilted higher up than the inner edge...

I've been a disc golfer for the past 2+ yrs. It's a great sport. Tournaments are fun as hell. Also, saying "frolf" is like saying hackey sack instead of footbag. So, disc golfers prefer the term disc golf for the sport rather than frolf. At one point I've had around 40 discs; I'm down to only about ...

Thanks a lot for the videos; it's always nice to see some new footage. But I am kinda surprised that so many people seem to think that the stuff he was hitting was his best stuff...honestly, to me, it did not look like he was even trying in most of the runs. There were a few that looked like he put ...
