Just made my 10th 92 panel bag. Time to get a little bit more creative for the next few.

This post makes me want to be a professional footbag tester.
I hate bad form and I'm a hypocrite.

nice 92 Ivan! looks superb. I need to make another 92 and do a rad pattern like that. My 1st 92 took me like 2 months though lol.

The cow bag gets my vote.
Re: Bags You've Made
My first post
I'm not an avid hacker. Nor am I any good (very convincingly proved once I found this forum!) but I do keep a bag in my rucksack for any of those random times I'm standing around with nothing to do.
I lost my knit bag recently so I decided to make my own.
I sourced some ultrasuede samples for free!
I got six sheets of 3" x 5" which should be enough for two bags.
I just finished sewing up all of it and now I am just waiting for some filler, some glass beads and some steel bb's.
I'm pretty proud of it as it is my first attempt!

Re: Bags You've Made
Very good first bag. I'm sure some of the more experienced stitchers in here can give you pointers too.
Re: Bags You've Made
yes please! give me some painful honest critique please!
I have enough material to make another so any pointers will help.
I did notice my gather wasn't very consistent. I noticed the other bags are so smoothly round...is that because of a looser gather?

Re: Bags You've Made
Uneven bags can come from a couple of factors including, Uneven stitch length or bite, or uneven gather. isirc10 put together a really good Video Tutorial that I used to learn to stitch.
here is a link to it in case you haven't seen it yet.

Re: Bags You've Made
first advice: skip the glass beads. the glass will break and cut hole into the fabric making it die much faster. use plastic beads instead (salvage some old hackys or something)
second advice: if you keep sewing work on more even stitches!
third advide: loose gather or thight gather are a factor, but mostly for the "softness". if you gather tight the seams will "stand up" kind of and make the bag more round and true to form. also it takes longer to break them in. loose gather on the other hand makes for flat seams that may need little to no breaking in but the bags tend to be more flat when broken in.
fourth advice: keep stitching this bag looks good, you got something there!
here are a couple of bags i made over the last few weeks, many will know them from my facebook page. anyways, here we go:
and for giggles i found a picture of my first 32 panel bag next to my first ever stitcher made 32 panels bag (ilija mitrofanov bag, still have it, a piece of art!):

Impeccable stitching as always, Marco!
Asia, looks like you've got an image error. I can't see your bags.
Here are a few from a recent batch. The 14 on the right was returned to me after 2 years of kicking with a popped stitch, fixed it up and it should be good for more kicking.
I've got a decent list of orders, so expect more from me in the next few weeks.

Re: Bags You've Made
I'm sure we've all seen it and are sick and tired of it, but if any bag I've made deserves to be in this thread, it's this one:
Also, this might be my upper limit in terms of panel count... that took way too long (for is essentially a 92 panel bag).

*one soft clap*
Jk, as I've mentioned on the footbag Facebook group, this is a pristine work of art, which involves skill, patience, and creativity. 3 points for Gryffindor.

Re: Bags You've Made
Bags! It's summer time, so that means stitch like crazy, right? Not gonna post all of mine, just my favorites:
