Paul Austin's footbook

Post by The Rhino » 19 Jan 2006 16:48

My name is Paul. I've loved/hated footbag for a less than a decade.

I like Foo Fighters a little more than a little.
I play guitar and sing.
I work in the communications industry.
I have a family. a wife, a son and a daughter.
I like star wars.
I like success books, financial books. fitness books.
I'm an ex-cult member. I know freedom.

I have lots of respect for EVERYONE on here, even though our viewpoints on some issues are quite different. so if we disagree... I still love you and respect you.

when I first started this footblog, I was doing this stuff:

At the roosevelt tennis courts on the warm winter day:

Osising like mad bsos
whirl from opp toe instead of clipper
paradon

At Golgotha:

diving xbod rake
tried pixie opp whirl alot alot alot in a dirty room with a sandmaster 1/4 way full and almost hit it 2 or 3 times and got frustrated

next blog will hopefully say I hit it with the new lavers and the new abshire. (the new abshire was a waste of money)

tricks accomplished:

Several flipside symposium whirls, about five or so and even hit it Bsos.
I was extremely stoked.

Things to work on next time:( red= hit since this post )

blender bsos
drifter bsos
sidewalk bsos
flipside pixie set
pixie opp whirl
pixie whirl
torque?

see if I can hit a blurry whirl on a either side, then perhaps food processor.

(I'll find the actual trick names for these sometime and edit the post for my own personal learning/training)

yeah... some of these will be on my "hit list"

now i am hitting fairy> opp toe...
but then when i pass it over to the other toe stall to bust it again in the same run i constantly miss my toe stall...

this teaches me a lesson

and brings up a question

lesson: do toe stalls as little as possible

question: do all you guys miss the simplest trick ever alot too? (toe stall)

Well this is the first time i've ever seen your posts..sounds like your coming along quite nicely..keep working both sides and don't get upset about not hitting easy moves..it will come easier everyday..work on consistency..having longer runs helps to keep frusteration down i find..gives a feeling of accomplishment..but everytime you hit something it should feel like that. keep schooling and shreding..ill be waiting to see what you do in the future. whats your string length like??how many contacts?
I hit that...

First off, thank you for the post. I am thankful you wrote.

If I'm just doin tiltless, I guess I can go for like 10 or 15 contacts, using both sides, I try to learn everything bs if not bsos. I'm just now working on pixie on my flipside and I am just now hitting atomic on the strong side, so i dont have that stuff bs.

like if I am going for more than just three adds, I usually just try to hit a four or five and then go into little stuff and then see if i can hit another four add or whatever.

yeah, thats about it.

I hit that...
