don't worry about not making it over. Our friendship has basically reduced to internet acquaintances who never talk anymore.

Training for the Missoula Marathon. My 3 older sisters are doing the half marathon, so decided to join them. Haven't driven my car in 2 weeks, opting for biking everywhere. Running mountain trails at least 3 times a week. Only smoking 1-3 cigarettes a week since getting back from vegas. Haven't gone running since cross country in high school, which was 7 years ago. Feels good. Finally found a consistent pace. Feet are torn the fuck up with blisters though.

Played footbag for the 3rd time since vegas. My body remembered how to do strings, which it couldn't do in NV. New links, drilled basics, messing around with super high sets (like 10 ft)>xbdy rakes when bored at home.

Next Friday is the day that I will be coming through Missoula on my way to work in the Bob Marshall. I'll be there until Sunday afternoon, at which point I'll have to continue north and into the wilderness for the summer. It would be great to get the Footbag Alliance back together for a session at some point. Saturday market, maybe? I'm a little out of practice, but let's get some shred in nonetheless, eh?

Had a great session yesterday with jeremiah. Felt more creative than I had in awhile. Lots of new links. Also hit spinning ducking swirl midstring on accident. Was going for a maelstrom, but forgot which side I set it from and absent mindedly did a swirl. I've only done that trick once before. Also sealed a string with spinning xbdy rake>ducking torque which felt cool. One of my most memorable was starting a string with bubbabeater>near rev swirl>step far xbdy rake>gyro mirage

Dylan Fry was trying to show me how to do those superduper high sets at worlds. I've only been able to get about 7 ft (a little higher than my head)

whats the trick to it?

no advice for setting high other than kick hard.

haven't been kicking much again. kind of my m.o. for the last few years. modded some rod lavers. played in them the other day. it was fun. haven't kicked in lavers since 2004 or so. have to get used to them. they're weird. i had to cut off the toe boxes which i've never done. but at the end of the session hit whirring swirl and nemesis... ask me how many times it took to hit an eggbeater of which i used to feel proficient.

i've been trying to subtly harrass ken somolinos in a fun way through text, but he only writes back through pm's. hopefully this will inspire response texting. cuz you're being called out ken. u and your sick beasts can't avoid the montana texts forever.

looking forward to the us open. backyard camping again.

boom boom boom!

Found an awesome huckleberry picking area deep in the mountains outside Missoula. Delicious

Been eating a lot of game. Over the last 2 weeks i've had rabbit, duck, elk, deer, and picked wild cherries, raspberries, and huckleberries.

Yesterday marked 30 days of not smoking.

Starting tomorrow, i'm homeless until the 20th. Going to bounce around friends couches and try to avoid staying at the parent's house.

The us open was awesome.

have hardly played at all over the last few years, but had a lot of fun. ended up having one of the best sessions since in awhile with rory dawson.

it was fun giving ken somolinos shit again. showing him how i post on modified without reading any of the previous posts. i also felt very honored to film his event, but felt awful after messing up only his routine.

it was also great seeing the dynamic duo that is mat k and zac m. i haven't seen zac since worlds 2007 and it was fun goofing around again. i feel that some people take footbag too seriously and it was cool to see people that don't mind goofing around. both of their styles are awesome and they put up with my random bullshit. zac gets texts contstantly, so ti was fun making fun of him missing cool shit because he was too busy reading a text.

it was also fun hanging out with the idaho crew again. the jacksons are always willing to put in hard work while being very great hosts. same with the freedom crew.

took a gf to a footbag event for the first time. that was pretty rad. thanks to jim penske for putting us up in his backyard/driveway couches/basement. he's a beast. not a good paddler, he doesn't stroke hard enough

jake wren's a beast. he rode his bike from portland to boise and he's a down to earth awesome dude who's always fun to hang out with.

it was also great to see chris dean this year. i've been watching his shred for years but had never really talked to him. cool dude.

cale rules, nuff said

larry workman has gotten leagues better.

justin still rubs me the wrong way, but he'll never read this, so whatev

for me, this event was less focused on footbag than it was experiencing boise again. more discgolf this year, floating, eating at local places, dealing with awkward christians. us open was cool as ice cream
